Let's hope Season 3 would not take 9 years to make... hahaha.

Edit: In the thumbnail it's 'No Way' written there. Not Norway 😅

In addition to forcing the Ildoan's into a situation where they must push for peace instead of straddling the fence post, the Ildoan's had also just recently made a defense treaty with the Unified States. Attacking Ildoa drew the Unified States into direct conflict. This was done intentionally with the plan to surrender to the US instead of the Russy Federation, which no one wanted, or the Commonwealth/Republic, who are historical rivals that want to destroy the nation entirely. The goal is to hold back the Russy Federation on the eastern front and tactically retreat on the western. The last goal was literally looting Ildoa for resources. Ildoa was growing rich from playing both sides and was untouched by war. The Empire was on its last legs and would lose to famine in the upcoming winter unless they procured food.

Tanya: Screw you Being X. I beat you.

Being X: And I took that personally.

It's another example where I feel like pointing out the original author is Japanese and while the conflict looks like proxy-Germany vs proxy-Western allies, a lot of the themes and struggles the Empire faces resonate more strongly with Japan's Pacific War. Including expanding the war out of a pressing desire for more resources to keep fighting the war that they're already in and can't win.

They cut this part from the novel and I had no idea why, that makes little sense.
When Tanya returned and report the outcome, Zettour and Tanya are both shocked that someone managed to put a whole wing of mages at that spot and right on time. Although the outcome is good, no one will be accused of being a traitor, but thay are deeply worried that their code had been cracked (I went back to the novel after this episode to confirm that I'm not dreaming things up, Vol.11-3 Tanya did almost shout at Zettour in her report that someone had broke their code)

Well he needed a reason to be branded as an evil Leader.

"instead of stopping the bombings (they blew up the bombers) or evacuating the command bunker (it's a plane) they let the attack happen (it was a Mary Sue blast, they kinda did let it through, but clearly did everything to stop it)"

Now I'm just going to assume while the guy is showing the anime, he's talking about the actual novel, because he went right off what was happening in the very scenes he was showing.

Rudersdorf's death is sort of similar to Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto's death.

It's not a bad play, and in most other shows, it likely would have worked as Ildoa would bulk at the reality of the Empire invading, and sue for peace, encouraging other nations to do the same.

But the thing is, God himself is literally capable and willing to interfere with people and events to stop that from happening. He's done it before and likely will keep doing it.

Zettour is a devil, but observant, decisive, intelligent and pragmatic...but he can't match a petty God willing to change the rules

Regarding the air raid. If I'm not mistaken their mission was bomb the Imperial capital, and then escape to the Russy Federatiom territories covered by their mages on their way. Their meeting with the transport plane and 203rd escort was a chance ecounter, not the primary mission. Cheers!

I think they'll make a movie since it sounds like the end of war is near.

Ohh now I see why the emperor/kaiser whatever gave him full control. Zettoa told him about the Ildoa plan.

One important detail missed here is that Mary Sioux wasn't targeting the aircraft she was targeting Tanya. Tanya saw this coming and intentionally placed herself between Mary and the aircraft. Mary fired the shot but it was Tanya who killed Rudersdorf.

No matter how hard she tries she’s too valuable of an asset to leave the front lines regardless of Being X’s influence, she’s basically suffering from her own success.🐱
