If I could have told my 16 year old self that 28 years later I'd be watching this on a Monday night on my smartphone 🤯🤯🤯

It's 30 years next month since the first Nitro. I really hope you guys just put the episodes out week by week for the next six years. I bet you could top current AEW ratings with old WCW TV.

One of Jeff Jarrett's last WCW appearances until late 1999 as he would return to the WWF not too long after this.

Fun Fact:

This airing of Nitro was the very first event ever held at the E-Center (now Maverik Center), which, as Tony Schiavone mentioned, had opened up that previous Friday, September 19, 1997.

"Walter Cronkite never called a cage match" pure gold, love it

This was my tenth birthday. Not only was it Goldberg's first televised match, but it was the same night that Stone Cold Steve Austin gave Vince McMahon a Stone Cold Stunner for the first time. There was nothing like the Monday Night Wars.

This is the WCW Nitro show where Goldberg made his Debut and on the other side in WWF/WWE Raw on same night where Stone Cold Steve Austin would gave Vince McMahon Stone Cold Stunner for the first time. What a moment.

Larry cutting a promo at the beginning was priceless. Also Nitro girls! And no spear to Goldberg repertoire yet. Also also that Jaqueline smile! She was good on the mic! Also also also Nash trolling Arn was gold!
