Approve funding via 3rd party.
Multiple warnings ignored.
Intelligence failed.
Troops stood down.
Festival prolonged.
Defences failed.
Response slow.
Hostage exchanges rejected.
Borders expanded on all sides.
Legal risks halted.
Who benefitted from Oct 7th?
"The existence of this internal document, which Israeli authorities code-named “Jericho Wall,” was first exposed in late 2023 by The New York Times. Despite having precise details of the impending assault, Israeli leadership dismissed the document as "aspirational" and assumed Hamas lacked the operational capability to execute""
The swiss cheese model of risk analysis alone doesn't really pass the smell test when you consider the response.
The multiple warnings of a significant attack from more than one regional source coupled with direct observations of changed behaviour in the Gaza area were surely indicative of a need for greater caution.
An unguarded fence is after all effectively useless.
Troop distribution and even redistribution of units further north should be a concern to those who value israeli security.
This response smacks of opporrunism.
It makes the denials look quite frankly hollow.
So I imagine a lot of personnel would be celebrating that. Something they’ve changed since the attack.
