Were there any scams that I missed?

Currently Facebook is being sued for over $1.2B by the country of Poland over financial scams.

Never trust anyone who uses fear to get you to do something.

It's bizarre that the generation who told us not to believe everything on the internet they now believe absolutely everything on the internet.

My mom was very sharp for being almost 90. One day a man called pretending to be her grandson and needing help.  She was smart enough to ask questions and realized it was a scammer. But to make life easier for her we set up a FAMILY ONLY code word.
Anytime she got a call from a business or a charity she either said she wasn't interested or you'll have to speak with my daughter if you'd like to give me your name and number. This worked well for her.  Miss you mama! ❤

If its on social media and money is involved, it's a scam. Period.

My son is studying cybersecurity….. he said what you see/hear is only the tip of the iceberg .

I’m sorry, but “You have to go to the bank” is A HARD NO.  You’re gonna arrest me?  Yeah, come do it.

Being broke has saved me from being scammed. 😂

Our greed, loneliness, laziness, impatience, and addiction to entertainment is crippling our judgment.

Courts don't call you, they send letters. It's archaic but true.

Have a code word with your children and partner. If a scammer calls pretending to be them, ask them for the code word.

I stopped answering calls from numbers I don’t know. Every once and awhile I get the threat of the cops are coming for me. It’s nice that the cops give you an advance warning

I no longer answer calls from unknown numbers. If it's important, they can leave me a voicemail or text. And 99% of the time, they don't.
I'm old, not stupid.

Anything that asks you to pay money is a scam, I would never pay anyone first.

I walked away from Facebook and never looked back. Too much scamming going on.

Never EVER BELIEVE anything on Social Media. Assume it’s all fake and a scam.

I hate that we live in a society where trust is getting lower and lower every day.

In ancient times, people would lose tongues, limbs, sometimes their head for running scams. Not saying we should do that again, but clearly we need to beef up penalties for scammers.

If scammers get caught and the judge locked them up for at least 10 years that would send a strong message to thieves.
