Bob Marley was really the first artist to bring reggae music to the masses. Check out his songs “Get Up, Stand Up”, “Buffalo Soldier”, “Is This Love”, “Three Little Birds” and “Could You Be Loved”.

Bob Marley's album "Legend" is a must have for any collection because he truly was a legend. R.I.P

"Good friends we have, oh, good friends we've lost along the way,
In this great future you can't forget your past,
So dry your tears , I say."

The Bob rabbit hole runs deep. He was truly one of the great ones. What a world we would live in if everyone took heed of his lyrics and teachings

He gave all royalty from this song to a kitchen in Trench Town, to feed the poor.

“my feet are my only carriage, so I got to push on through”.
- love that line

My younger brother, with whom I shared a room and fought with so many time, introduced me to Reggae and Bob Marley. We began to understand each other over the years and, as kids, got into so much trouble together.
My brother passed away just after reaching his 60th birthday.
Hearing this brings him back to me, even if only in spirit.

Bob Marley gave licensing credit of this song to a soup kitchen in Trenchtown (a ghetto in Kingston) to ensure that the royalty checks would keep it open.

Redemption Song is a must. Part of the soundtrack of my university days.

Highly recommend his song War. I was fortunate enough to see him in concert in 1975. Probably the most charismatic performer I ever saw;

When your band is so stocked with a wealth of talent that your backup singers, the I-Threes, are all stars of their own.

He was actually shot in an attempt to be assassinated and still did a concert 4 hours later 🤯

Good morning. I am one of the chosen few who got to see Bob Marley perform live—in Hamburg, Germany, back in 1980—and it was one of the most emotional and beautiful concerts of my life. I still think about it often. Warm greetings from Germany and have a wonderful day.

Get Up, Stand Up for your Rights was his biggest message. The main voice of my generation, it was a lot more than music - Love U Bob ❤

He was such an amazing person as well as an artist. He life was slightly tragic but his music was all about love and peace. I was born to late.

5:45 spot on, that’s what no woman, no cry means. It means “woman, don’t cry”. People often misunderstand what it means - but you got it

6:21 TrenchTown is a slum neighborhood in Kingston, Jamaica; a "government yard" is somewhere between a homeless shelter, refugee camp, and a favela. And, yes, that really is where Bob Marley grew up.
