This is a fine opportunity for an entire album reaction. THE JOSHUA TREE by U2 is one of the greatest albums in musical history, not one bad song. And there is no finer reactor on YouTube than Senpai to do it.

This was OUR song back in 1987.( high school sweetheart) Every time I hear this song, I still think of her 39 years later...

The cry is so cathartic. It’s such an emotional release. He builds up so much tension with being unable to live with someone but also not being able to let go. His conflict exists spiritually between his emotional dependence and his spiritual devotion. It’s an impossible place to be, meant for screaming out in surrender to the One.

The Joshua Tree album is an absolute masterpiece and is easily in the top three albums released in the 1980s. Absolutely nobody was bigger than U2 in the late 80s.

U2 - one of the biggest bands in the history of the world. Not even exaggerating. Love all the song suggestions in the comments… but never enough people suggest this song… this beautiful, incredible, underrated song .. “All I Want is You”. The video is also a masterpiece!!

Great song that really shows off Bono's voice. 'Pride' is another huge hit, with a great message.

That is what U2 does for you.

You NEED to check out “Where the Streets Have No Name”, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”, “One” and “Sunday Bloody Sunday” next.

When musicians are asked about the sound of the Edge (the guitarist), they often describe him as not just playing music but painting sonic landscapes. He is a painter of sonic and emotional landscapes, combined with Bono's voice, it is what makes U2 music so emotionally powerful.
