He need a write a book and a movie about his life. So touching 😢

This hit home. When I was 4, my parents moved to Nigeria, and my mum’s best friend took me in. I only saw my parents 2 or 3 times a year, so they felt like strangers on the phone while my guardian kept reminding me she wasn't my real mum. It made for a very confusing childhood. Now that I’m raising 3 beautiful kids of my own, those early years have made me super protective, I can’t let them out of my sight!

I burst into tears when his friend gave him his passport and money. How God uses people. 😭😭😭

As a black American, I never knew this happened to black children in the UK.

It's a blessing that he turned out to be such a kind, humble human being despite of his cruel upbringing. The fact that he looks around his kitchen cupboards and is grateful for having food says a lot about him.

His story, stamina, vulnerability, strength, power is is a gift to experience. Thank you for owning your story…

My aunt also gave up her daughtet for fostering, this was due to a misfortune she and her husband had, their house got burnt and they lost everything and she had to be shuttling between UK and nigeria doing busineee so they could have some money saved. By the time they wanted to collect her back she refused. Thats how she was left with the foster parents

Some people should never become parents.

I have heard of this happening to many African kids born overseas.
Often migrants parents use this when a child is perceived uncontrollable.

You had trauma,  hope you heal all around

The interviewer did a great job too. ❤❤❤❤

What an unbelievable and deeply moving story—it resonates so much with my own life. Like you, I was born in the '60s to Nigerian immigrant parents and placed with a white foster family straight from the hospital. Unlike your experience, though, my parents visited me weekly.
I am so sorry for everything you went through. When I was sent back to Nigeria, my mother came with me. Times were extremely tough, and she struggled to provide, but I was always certain of her love. I had a feeling something wasn't right with your father leaving you behind like that without looking back.
Seeing the kindness of the person who helped you return to the UK brought me to tears. He was truly your guardian angel—it's heartwarming to know people like that exist. You have such a compelling story; I truly believe you should write a book. Sending you virtual hugs! 🤗

In British history, "farming" (or "farming out") refers to a widespread, unofficial practice between 1955 and 1995 where tens of thousands of West African children—primarily of Nigerian and Ghanaian descent—were privately fostered by white British families

Very, very touching story. And when he mentioned the journey from birth then sent to Nigeria and after 8 years managed to go back to the UK really touched me to the core. I don’t want to lie I even cried a bit, because i have a son i adopted online who was dumped by his foster parents in Kenya. His story touched me to the extend of contacting him. We talked and i opted to help him whenever i can. He calls me mom and i call him my son. Its been few years now and i know that one day we will meet in person, as long as I’m helping as a mother. Everything happens for a reason, and he’s also a musician. He’s a good disciplined child and I know that he’s forgiven his Forster parents. Some parents are just different from the humankind they should be.

Thank you so much officer 🙏🏾.  What a never say never life you've lived. Thank you for your resilience,  thank you for your perseverance,  thank you for hope, and thank you for strength and life. I appreciate you today as a 50 year old African and an American. I am also a dad, a husband trying to raise black boys and doing my utmost to make sure they are productive citizens tomorrow. Thank you Sir and may you be richly blessed.

I wish they would bring him back, there’s so much more to talk about

I couldn’t stop crying listening to this story. I am so sorry that you went through this. I am a Nigerian,my parents were poor but we were well raised and well cared for. I feel very lucky because I came from a loving home.

I want more. This one hour of listening to him was not enough.

I'm about the same age as this man and I remember it was very common for Nigerian parents to put their children in care as if it was a Nanny service. Even the one's that were capable of looking after them.

I never thought I would cry along the way listening to his story. It was when he talked about been used to sell fake cold, and then he became friends with Richard. What the enemy meant for bad, God turned it around for your good
