Repugnant is a creature that would squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven… conscious of his fleeting time here….. absolute genius

Such a relevant, timeless masterpiece  😊

excited for this!!
🌀spiral out…keep going🌀

Father blessed them all with reason (not freedom)is the lyric I believe.

That breakdown encapsulates the whole history of human warfare starting from primitive tabla drum days of ancient humans to the raging nuclear weaponry of modern day violence.

that tension at 7:57 man, can feel that to the core in the US right now.

One of the coolest song formats for Tool are ones where the instrumental break gives you time to really chew on the words in the verses that came before it. This song gives ample time for you to shift your perspective and see how silly but also worrying it probably is watching us humans do what we tend to do from the perspective of a group of angels. Tool writes some very interesting stuff.

You're so very welcome! My mom used to beg my middle daughter to sing in church, she told her she'd only do it if she could sing THIS song...that was the last time my mom asked her!  🤣 I love Maynard sooo much and I'm so glad this won the wheel of TOOL spin! 🤣🖤🖤🖤🖤

"Cut it all right in two" is referencing Human's penchant for dividing and/or hoarding resources even though they are so abundant in the modern era that there isnt necessarily a need to divide/hoard when we could share them.

Angels on the sideline again. Benched along with patience and reason.
Fight till they die over words polarizing

Cut and divide it all right in two. 😔

Please do Jambi next 🙏

It's best to have words pulled up with Tool. Maynard is a wordsmith.

Your understanding of each song especially the lyrics will go through the roof if you watch the lyric videos brother. Loving your tool journey nonetheless!

Bro, you’re hooked. The Tool has got you.

Nice timing I was just in the mood for some Tool reactions

The question is: why didn't you smoke beforehand? Lol.

And you got the message brother. Humans have to fight over everything.

I know you don't do a deep dive on lyrics but the Tool Army usually recommends having the lyrics in front of you. Maynard's voice can be hard to hear and low in the mix. Their lyrics can be very profound too.

Please do Wings for Marie part 1 and 2. You will not be disappointed.

You need a fucking seat belt for this one

Someone buy this man a fricken FLAME THROWER!!!
