As someone who has attempted before, the talk about suicide really made me tear up because this is the thing so many people don't understand. It enrages me when people say suicide is selfish, because it's not selfish, it's heartbreaking. Knowing someone is at the point where dying truly seems like a better solution than continuing to go on with their days is truly truly heartbreaking, and it highlights just how hard they must've been fighting if they're down to that last resort option. People talk about all the pain it causes everyone else around them, and it does cause so much pain, but they're not ending their life to cause pain, they're doing it to escape their own overwhelming pain, and that's so sad.

Lauren mentions wanting to do free cleans for people in need - it might be worth her trying to get in contact with CleanWithBea, who has recently mentioned in a video how high her workload is and why her standards for helpers on the cleans need to be so high. I feel like Lauren and Bea working together could go really well, and if councils won't fund it then let the vigilante cleaners run wild.

I'm honestly shocked with how respectful and genuinely considerate Tom is throughout these interviews. Who ever would have thought the loud annoying dream SMP kid would have grown into this. Good stuff mate.

Mentioning Schrodinger's cat like it’s a myth 😭😭

I’m a recovering alcoholic, 26 years old, I would love to see 100 questions with a young recovering alcoholic

My dad had a friend who he found out was a hoarder. He was trying to help her out a little (she’s still alive), but he did end up finding one of her cats dead in a cupboard under the sink. Apparently she had thought he ran away 3 months ago. But the cat had just got stuck in this cupboard and starved to death.

He now has a thing, almost to the extreme, of not liking to keep anything that isn’t very significant. Because he doesn’t want to become a hoarder like her. It has traumatised him a little seeing her house like that.

he's so sheltered, "have you seen drugs!"

That has got to be the worst explanation of Schrodinger's Cat that I've ever heard....

I'm so glad to hear her say that about Suicide. I've been saying it for years. The idea that it's "Selfish" is mad. It's selfish to expect someone to live in such pain that they want to cease the only potential existence they will ever know to escape it just so it doesn't upset someone else. It's twisted and blaming the person who was suffering.
Depression long term twists the way you see the world. Those people called selfish likely thought their death would make the lives of their family members better and easier- because that's how you start to think.

I've watched nearly every episode and I think Lauren has to be my favorite guest. Shes so compassionate and well spoken, her love for others bleeds through her words ❤️

This episode seems like it will be amazing, a little scared though

Edit- the emotional chats in this episode really got to me. It's really nice to see that toms able to ask emotional and interesting questions while remaining respectful. Also well done to lauran for being able to do this because so many people can't.

I can sense such power behind Lauren's words. Both empathic and no-nonsense, that seems a perfect combination for a job like this. Thank you for all you do, Lauren!
