Never ceases to amaze me that there are people who seemingly care enough about beauty spots to go to them, but not enough not to thoroughly rubbish them when they leave.  I've never been able to see the logic there.

Yes please more kayak camping videos🛶👌🤩

Very upsetting to see all that rubbish dumped on the island but great to see you’re getting out in your kayak, Stephen! One little tip I’ll humbly suggest is to try to distribute the weight of your gear evenly in the stern and bow 🙂 Looks like such a beautiful location to explore! Let’s definitely see some more kayak camping from you!

Loved that just real banter and chat bit. To an extent, made me feel like I was there. The background chatting while the screen shows the fire, silhouettes of people, the kayak, feels more natural because when talking I would look and notice these things as well. Well documented video, of pure "good ol' days".

Freezing dinner in a bag in the pot, so it fits nicely for travel, is brilliant!

i cant tell you how relieved i was coming across your content. ever since outdoor boys (luke) retired, all ive watched is xander budnick, and although hes great, he kinda posts less frequently than luke did. which is fine, he has great content - but it took me wayyyyyy too long, i'm talking months of searching for someone that makes camping related content (in such a style) that feels GENUINE and ORGANIC. not overproduced, not underthought. your content is a breathe of fresh air and i hope you dont mind me saying it but PLEASE dont change. keep up the great work and content, you gained a new sub today.

God that just drives me crazy seeing the garbage in such a beautiful location! I just visited the Chocorua Lake Conservancy last night to try and get some sunset photos and there was a couple fishing on the bridge into the conservation land right next to a large sign describing all of the good work the conservancy has done over the last 57 years. The man was rummaging around in his backpack and a plastic grocery sack came flying out and fell into the water. Neither of them made any attempt to grab the bag as it floated out into the lake and when I said something to them they both just laughed .... 🤬

Okay sorry about the rant! That lough looked lovely. It was like glass the next morning. I miss my kayak I might have to look into one of those folding ones! I got rid of mine because I couldn't transport it!! 10,000 folds ... that's like 27 years if you use it every day! That'll see me out! 😁

Yeah please show us more kayak adventures🙂👍

8:35 Sick reference Colin!

It’s Sunday afternoon, it’s time to chill with Steve 😊 looks like an amazing time was had by all, another fab video, thanks 😊😊

Great video!  I agree with your annoyance about dumped rubbish, it’s the whole “tragedy of the commons” thing.  I’ll be interested in seeing how your kayak holds up over the next few years.

Your last video at Hare's Castle inspired me to go solo camping for the first time. I'm heading to uni this year and hoping to get out more with my free time. Been wild camping loads of times with friends and always enjoyed it but I went out for my first solo camp. I went to Hare's Castle on Monday to stay the night but the wind and fog was that bad it was far too dangerous to camp on the cliff tops so I had to camp below it. Woke up to a peaceful view of lower cove cliffs and I will definitely be back to try again in the top of the castles. This is definitely growing to eb one of my favourite channels on the Internet. Love these camping videos and I am keen to incorporate the wild camping with my mountain running aswell. I recently got selected to represent NI and Ulster at the B&I mountain running championships in Wales and I will definitely be coming back from that eager to get out for a solo camping trip/mountain run. What kind of kit do you bring with you on a solo overnight run? Is there a weight you try and keep your pack below. What kind of tent and what size bag is best for these types of runs?

It’s interesting how calming it is watching someone sit around the fire and talk…such an instinctive thing we still carry in us, when fire was the only safety we had…the rubbish is awful! honestly there should be an exam to pass for people being able to access outdoors - I’m joking, I don’t think that’s a good idea, but this truly enrages me too 😠 edit: spelling

Love gary, bring it on, and itsa yes for kayaking 😊❤

I've kayaked over to some of the islands on Loch Lomond and the litter situation is similar. Also, shit-covered toilet paper stuffed behind trees. Absolutely honking.

Haha those slo berries instantly dry your mouth out 😂 Been eating them since a kid and still have to have one when I see them 🫐🥴

Looked like perfect conditions 🙌🏼 These are the evenings you remember 🏕️

Fold-away kayaks rule! Aerial views weren't all that shabby either :-)

Get the kayak out in the surf a day when the surf is small you will have a blast! Just get a spray deck on it 👍

0:19 ... have you ever seen a briefcase, and not, like, an A0 document wallet? 😹

Cool trip, cool boats.
