Have you ever cycled in the Netherlands??? 🚴🏼‍♂️🚴🚴🏼‍♀️

Much respect for your sympathetic biking adventures travelling Europe.Biking is great to see the world and to meet other people.❤

Your start was the best part ;p
Greetz from Breda :)

7:56  You clearly had no right of way. When there are shark teeth on the road pointing to you: you're supposed to give way to the other traffic.

Haven't you noticed that the traffic lights in the Netherlands work differently than abroad? The Netherlands has smart traffic lights so that all traffic does not come to a standstill unnecessarily!❤👍

Ohh such a pitty that you didn’t follow more scenic routes, like the Fietsknoop knooppunten (junctions). You can avoid these cyclepaths near highways entirely!

At the busstop Amstelkade at 23:37 you took the bus in the wrong direction for Amsterdam. One stop further in the other direction there is a tramstop to Amsterdam Zuid Station, only two minutes away. Now you took the bus to Breukelen Train Station which takes 45 minutes and then the train to Amsterdam, which takes another 20minutes. The tram would have taken you to Amsterdam in 35minutes.

Kinda late to the party but for anyone inspired to take a trip like this: To whatever country you go, please take 15 minutes to familiarize yourself with the traffic rules. I know the story goes that bikes always have the right of way in the Netherlands but it's far from the truth. (Burdon of proof notwithstanding)
For instance @7:48 shows the 'shark teeth'  that you need to yield to the car and you just banked on the premise most people try to avoid accidents when they can.

And again: Please remember the 'shark teeth', pointing towards yourself, you need to stop for the car... that driver of little car could have had a heart attack. But I'm sure he scolded you... colourful language included. 07:45

Saying Schoonhoven needs a bit of practice. The Dutch oo is pronounced as oa in English, ho as hoo (hoo hoo like the Father Christmas calls) and ven is pronounced as van. Sch is not like the English Sch in school (that sk in Dutch), ch is like the Scottish ch when they say loch, like in Loch Ness. A guttural g, not Log Ness, but Loggg Ness. So Sgoanhovan, with the emphasis on Sgoan.

We speak DUTCH not German.

you spoiled the video, which was excellent, by saying we speak German. Now THAT is a huge insult.
