My retro coffee cruiser bike & everyday morning loop

pink sky rides

Come on a quick morning loop through my local village on the Isle of Skye with me, stopping at the beach for a coffee. Then I show a closer look at my first born child, the 1992 diamond back axis mountain bike which I’ve customised into my slow but easy coffee cruiser ride.

This video is, to me, the true spirit of riding a bicycle, I am not a "Cyclist" I am a "Bicyclist": someone who enjoy the simplicity of going through the world at 10 mph (on the flats :-) using my lungs and legs to create linear movement. Thank you for sharing this beautiful morning.

Love riding a bike. Not competitive just relaxing and taking in the scenery.

I love seeing the same vistas over time and seasons. I lived in my last place for 10 years and I was on the side of a hill, looking over to a range. It gave me great joy watching the changes.

I live near NYC and I am amazed at the beautiful place you live and ride. I also ride similarly to you: casual and calm, often with my film camera. Love your channel!❤😊🎉

Agreed. Watching the Dutch riding round coupled with NYC fixed gear guys zipping through traffic is definitely entertaining to watch. I live near NYC yet I still love watching ride around the city. However, I’ve never been to your world, nor have I ever watched a video from your section of the planet. Just found your channel, I’m looking forward to exploring the place you call home. Thanks for the upload.

I am in awe of the Dutch bicycle route system myself. Living in the U.S., we have a lot of rail trails but not a whole heck of a lot of connecting trails. You usually have to travel on the highway in traffic to if you're going a long distance. The rail trails can be quite long, upwards of 300 miles some of them. The US is so huge though. There are some projects happening to try and connect the country from coast to coast by trail only. It's a slow process, especially when your government chooses to spend a trillion dollars on "defense spending" instead of infrastructure like trails.

I was in the Netherlands last year, I was blown away by the cycling infrastructure and how cyclists are treated by the Dutch drivers, unlike here in the South Wales Valley’s and U.K. drivers generally

I like the bike is your coffee cruiser, but not that you are going to get coffee and, instead, bringing it with you. Nice to think you still make the coffee, just bring it to enjoy on the ride or after getting somewhere nice to relax for a bit.
