“Oh hey, Big-Zam”- Danny

"Cannot turn around" has to be the most debilitating weakness I have ever sren for a fighting game character

Weirdly Dracula’s playstyle sounds really accurate to how bosses in games actually fight.

I'm pretty sure Big Zam was literally defeated in the anime by air dashing over him and hitting him in the head

"I'd delay it again but I'm afraid my door isn't that strong" might honestly be one of my new favorite bumbles one-liners

No Kinnikuman entry can only mean either the propaganda is working or that we just couldn’t rail on Planetman for several more minutes

Perfect thing to watch before I have to drive my kid to “Beating a man with his own leg” class!

The biggest fighting game disappointment is always when you first found out the biggest character wasn’t immediately the strongest.

1:34 JACK! JACK! STOP! THE GUNDAM FANS ARE GOING TO FIND YOU AND YOU'LL BE TRAPPED MAKING JUST THAT AND KAMEN RIDER! JACKKKKKKK!

So in the Gundam anime, Big Zam was an experimental prototype that went into battle at a point in the war when Zeon, the antagonist faction, was officially on the back foot and would lose the war not long after. However, its pilot, Dozle Zabi, throws out a boast when he takes to the field, in an intended suicide run, that once Zeon can mass-produce Big Zam, they can turn the war around. This has sparked a lot of jokey questions of what would happen if Zeon had pulled it off (a lot of people question the plausibility of mass-producing a battleship-sized monster in a matter of weeks), and some Gundam games give you the option to do so.

It's funny because Dracula almost always has a monster form he can transform into, and it would be a very interesting thing to make him alternate between his ranged humanoid form and a melee monster form. In fairness, the whole projectile thing makes it feel like you're playing a boss character, but at the same time, the playstyle was not well put together for that game specifically.

You can't just bait me with ANOTHER Kamen Rider in the thumbnail, Jack!

You can't keep milking W in fighting games forever! Sooner or later, you'll have to make a dedicated Kamen Rider video! Mark my words!

I love extreme characters like the Big Zam. They are so funny in their all-or-nothing designs.

"Poor predictable Quan Chi, always takes Rune Trap."

"Good ol' Rune Trap, nothing beats that!"

Of course Jack pulls me in with Kamen Rider on the thumbnail

Never change

Once Big Zam goes into mass production, the Federation is screwed!

Hi Jack! I'm the bastard you said you hated because I got my friend to "do my dirty work for me" at PAX! You made my day! Hopefully one day I can catch you in the flesh.

The Quan Chi giraffe anecdote has effectively caused my lungs to entirely vanish as a result of extreme laughter, so congratulations.

A depressing part about Joker here is that narratively Shotaro struggles with feeling like he's dead weight: he's not the ideal partner for Phillip as W and he's not as good of a detective as his mentor, so a lot of his arc comes down to confronting these feelings of inadequacy. Joker is him facing those fears head on, fighting on his own even as he struggles with maybe not being enough and accepting nobody is perfect.

Makes it fucked up that the game''s balance essentially says "yeah, he wasn't enough at all" lmao 💀

He knows that Kamen Rider W gives him more views
