Baron's Castle

Dark Souls? Broken? No way, not here, not on my watch, because I'm just here to answer the simple question: Can You Beat Dark Souls... Normally? And by that, I obviously mean the complete opposite.

All footage of the run itself captured on the PC edition of Dark Souls Remastered on latest patch.

A playlist of various tutorials and other resources for things featured in this video can be found here: DS1 exploits and glitches

A playlist of the music used can be found here: DS1 Normal Run Music

The task intro music is all self-composed in the style of incidental music from the TV show "Taskmaster".

Moar souls stuff (I do play other games as well though):

Dark Souls: Dark Souls

Bloodborne: Bloodborne

Elden Ring: Elden Ring

Sorry, not sorry.

Mr Baron, I'm aware you'll probably not see this message, but I just wanted to tell you your taste in music kicks ass. Keep it up my good chum.

A perfect pre Christmas gift, a perfectly NORMAL gift with nothing glitchy or exploitable whatsoever.

I gotta change that profile picture lmao Thank you for the shoutout, Baron. Hell of a surprise to wake up to. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Fourking Hell, that Fire Tempest kill!

Also, the Malcolm's Revenge intro theme goes so hard! Tremendous music choice

I was just telling myself, "there are too many weird challenge runs these days, I want to watch a perfectly normal run of Dark Souls." Time to take a big sip of coffee and watch this video!

Wow, I was so shocked when I learned about abyss' one shot of the 4 kings, but you going through the pain of re-creating it... now that's just not normal...

As painful as it must have been to do Manus all over... sorry I mean some other player that might have made that mistake... it's still an interesting thing that the game works that way, given that it is Manus himself dragging you through the portal. So, no Manus means no portal.

Honestly the only thing more impressive than pulling off these glitched, er, normal kills, is the fact that you can find so many glitches to begin with. Even after playing this game over and over some of these are still the first time I've seen them! Also, GG on the Four Kings lol

6:38 Come on, don’t do the Male Undead Merchant dirty like that. He’s far more neat and presentable than Asmongold

The whole Taskmaster integration was just perfect. What a christmas present ❤

@PressContinue 1 year ago

Oooh this is gonna be good. But of course that is pretty normal by now...

I shit you not it's my birthday and I just got back from work and first thing I see is a juicy 50 min~ video from one of my favourite Souls-channels.
Thank you so much for the awesome content & birthday present Baron! I love your videos and hope you do some more Elden Ring and Bloodborne videos in the future.
Cheers, and merry christmas!

I need that 99 Firebombs Parody as my Ringtone. You also better sent the full version to Lemon!

What?! How have I never heard of crushing the boar with the gate after all of these years? It's like Luke Skywalker killing the Rancor.

Fun fact about the bagged milk: It's not just a Canada-specific thing; it is a province-specific thing. It's really common in Ontario. But it isn't really a thing in places like Alberta, so when someone from there sees it for the first time, they get just as confused as everyone else! : )

Honestly I think that impresses me most about ds1 and fromsoft is that...there's no intended way to kill Kalameet before Gough shoots him down for you. Fromsoft never intended for it to be possible. Both the melee and spell way of kalang Killimeet before Gough shoots him down require on A.I. manipulations, weird camera angles, and positional deadzones in otherwise arena covering hitboxes. Fromsoft probably never thought anyone would ever figure out how to end Kalameet without Gough, but they put in both a unique death animation AND unique dialogue for if it happened, just in case. It's such a wonderful thing to have hidden in the code with no guarantee it'd ever be found outside dataminer videos.
