Notice how he didn't give Stantler the Psychic type despite the fact it definitely should be. That's because no one remembers Stantler.

I really want to see Lugia get either a regional variant or form change that's a Dark/Water type that closely resembles Shadow Lugia from Gale of Darkness. An easy explanation for why it exists is that this could be the "true" form of Lugia that it only takes/has while living in it's natural habitat in isolation down in the pitch black depths of the ocean, which would also explain the typing and more menacing appearance. Then the regular Lugia we've seen before can be explained by it harboring latent psychic powers that harmonize with other life forms when it chooses to rise to the surface. This then could also retroactively explain why Shadow Lugia was so different, because by artificially shutting the door to its heart, Cipher was shutting off that harmonizing psychic power, which made it revert to a form more similar to it's true form.

36:56 Fun fact, barnacles drove Charles Darwin to actual tears. Through modern DNA studies, we've learned that they're crustaceans that start as plankton, plant themselves on a surface, and then build a calcified shell (more like a nest) around their bodies, allowing them to live the rest of their lives in one place. But they're fucking weird anatomically speaking, so they could easily pass as mollusks, echinoderms, coral, or any number of other invertebrates. And while Darwin was trying to design an all-encompassing tree of life, all he had to study these fucks was a wooden ship and a microscope. There are several letters where he's writing to friends about how much he's grown to despise barnacles.

I love Lilligant, too. It's my favourite grass type. I will always appreciate it for being on the team that helped me beat Zygarde in Dynamax Adventures. Pollen Puff, Petal Dance, and Quiver Dance are beautiful moves.

6:37 I actually think Gyarados SHOULD have been water/dark from gen 2 onwards cause while yes it's based off of that legend, the issue comes with the fact that Chinese dragons are kind, helpful, knowledgeable beings while Gyarados is ABSOLUTELY not that literally just read it's dex entries. Hell it's category is LITERALLY the "Atrocious" Pokémon and atrocious LITERALLY means horrifyingly wicked

Personally I’m not a fan of Regular Charizard switching to Dragon in exchange for Flying but that’s just me having Charizard fatigue. Like yes, Fire/Dragon Zard would definitely use special Dragon moves better than Megazard X and it would die to Stealth Rock less badly, but I am also so goddamn tired of the “requests”

I also don’t think its “new” subtype is gonna overall improve its competitive standing
