man, this guy is surely amazing.he had the perfect plan to ruin the world which not only was failproof,it also would have left nobody to stop him from becoming a part of solaris again, making him unstopable.......and it all was ruined by shadow kicking silvers head xD

Sonic 06's story kinda makes more sense when you follow it from Mephile's point of view.
Sorta helps Silver's story to

Mephiles, one of the coldest villains in the sonic universe that killed sonic without sonic ever knowing he exist and basically destroyed the universe for a moment.

Everyone wants Mephiles to make a comeback... I want BOTH Mephiles and Iblis to make a comeback.

The whole Mephiles and Shadow story was worthy of a separate game.

His theme is still being used in creepypasta readings...

Wrongfully imprisoned for years and still fights for humanity...Shadow is the real MVP...

reason why mephiles eyes are red: he never closed his eyes

say  whatever you want about Sonic 06 , but Mephiles will go down as one of the most interesting and scariest villains in the franchise. too bad he never interacted with the main hero since he is the main villain of the game

That moment when you realize Eggman is perfectly fine freeing monsters like Dark Gaea to further his plans... and runs the instant he realizes Mephiles is out of his prison.

Without Mephiles, this story would've been a completely unsalvageable wreck, with no redeeming qualities.
A villain is the most important part of any story, as they are the heroes of their own story.
At least they got that much right...

God, to think about it. There's a CRAZY amount of SA2 parallels with Mephiles. Like SA2 Shadow, he manipulated people to get his way; he was an experiment; he's fixated on revenge; arrogant; both treated badly by humanity in some form; apathetic to the world because his Maria (Iblis) was taken from him. He's SO much like how Shadow was in the past which is why I think Shadow's hesitation in his manipulations makes sense because they connect. He's basically seeing a past version of himself, but unlike Mephiles ever will, Shadow grew past that to be better. I seriously love Mephiles and Shadow's dynamic in this game because they're polar opposites yet so similar at the same time and it's written so well. Like even the OSTs have their motifs clashing!

i think they should remake sonic 06

The best villain in Sonic history.

Appears in one game with some of the worst gameplay in the series.

13:00 - 13:32 Easily one of the best moments in the sonic franchise.

11:49
Shadow: "Did you destroy this world?"
Mephiles, Shadow's shadow: "Well, yes, but actually, no."

I don't care if he's basically a recolored version of shadow. Make him have the voice of Dan green mixed with creepy eyes who's personality can be like the Devils stooge and he is one of the most terrifying and most impressive sonic villains.

Impressive performance by Dan Green, bone-chilling theme, horrifying design, fascinating dialogue, and yet despite having a cliche goal of destroying everything just for the sake of destruction (despite being its main purpose) has a fantastic character.

Mephiles truly is one of the best villains in Sonic Franchise

Mephiles, you were the only one who managed to KILL sonic.
You make me tremble in fear.
