Would the time traveling powers of Mephiles the dark work inside Infinite’s Null space? And could Infinite use the power of the phantom ruby to create Mephiles’ greatest fear - an unbroken scepter of darkness? I’m going to answer all these questions and more today, as I explore the hypothetical outcome of the battle between the Sonic franchise’s two edgiest villains - Mephiles the Dark, and Infinite the Jackal.

Honestly, I find it very realistic, that Mephiles does pull of that sh¡t, where he time travels, to prevent Infinite fusing with the Phantom ruby in the first place.

It's insane to imagine Mephiles losing to "I AM NOT WEAK!!!" Infinite but like I'm not surprise. Mephiles should win on his IQ more than Infinite's power but the problem is what the hell does he do to Null Space or the AR reality. Infinite can do anything and that's probably more scarier than anything Mephiles can do. It just sucks because Infinite is just Goku Black Manga while Mephiles is Goku Black Anime.

Just putting this out there for anyone-

The Phantom Ruby is NOT stronger than the Master Emerald or any of the Chaos Emeralds as a matter of fact. That's a misconception.

The only reason Eggman stated that he wouldn't need to bother going after the Master Emerald was because the Phantom Ruby's full potential and power was far easier to access than that of the Master Emerald, which requires an Echidna/guardian.

I think that even the scenario that mephlis wins is unlikely, like you stated before, it requires mephlies to pull off a lot of different but it also requires infinite to be dumb and not realize that the teal mephlis is gkne and not have a counter strategy

Mephiles can't remove the ruby from Infinite no matter what, Infinite literally fused himself to it, that's why he was consumed by the original ruby at the end of the final battle with him

As much as i have a bias for Mephiles, I can't deny that he'd need to rely on messing with the parameters of events for him to somehow find a way to win.

If you read the sonic manual you find that infinite is right now trapped inside of the phantom Ruby so he might be getting a return and if it happens again, then he’ll be invincible because he might learn how to break out quicker

Honestly, I think it depends on which Mephiles is in the fight, simply because of his sanity level.

If it's 06 Mephiles, he would have amazing sanity and deduce the best course of action quickly.

If it's Shadow Generations / Present Mephiles... He lost his sanity, in exchange for tunnel vision. He's not winning.

Basically Mephiles isn't stupid dude, and he is the one who would basically win, through strategy, manipulation, deception, raw power, and have full control of the chaos emeralds at any time, and use any abilities if you look back at 06. He is the embodiment of time, meaning he can reverse time when ever he wants, get your facts together first because he would definitely win Infinite
