Bro did NOT get this out before the Switch 2

A Palutena's Guidance dialogue with Zagreus would be one of the greatest smash bros bits ever.

Dr Eggman is an actual NECESSITY. He would just fit too well into the giant villain category with king dedede, bowser, ganondorf and king k rool

"With over 34 copies sold..." That'd be CRAZY LMHO

Idk the likelihood but I really REALLY want Hugh Morris from the Tomodachi Life Directs to become a newcomer. He’d be a perfect wtf first party character.

I NEED Rayman in there

Even though that game is pretty new:
Ditto from Pokopia would make an unique candidate for the Pokemon Franchise in Smash bros, since it's able to use multiple moves from other pokemon by tranforming parts of it's body.

Nobody's mentioning how he didn't include the big Wah himself (Waluigi)

Instead of Donkey Kong on his own. It will be Donkey Kong and Young Pauline together as a single fighter with Pauline on his back. Pauline uses her singing to help Donkey Kong transform into his 5 Bananza Transformations which he can use to his advantage for a limited time. Some of Donkey Kong’s Movesets will be different like instead of handslapping the ground, he will tear a chunk of terrain from the Ground and he can swing it, throw it, chunk jump with it and turf surf with it. Donkey Kong’s Final Smash will be the same with Donkey Kong’s Punch Combos but Pauline finishes it off with a Super Shout as the final hit which Blasts the Opponent flying. While Donkey Kong is Crouching, Pauline will shout out vocal blasts in front of her in a straight line. Their First Taunt will be Donkey Kong and Pauline Pounding their Chests together. Their Second Taunt will be where Donkey Kong and Pauline will High Five each other. Their Last Taunt will be Donkey Kong doing the same thing where he will stick his hands out and shakes his head sideways with a goofy look on his face with Pauline Giggling at his taunt with Donkey Kong and Pauline smiling at each other at the end of the taunt. One of their Victory Animations will be Donkey Kong and Pauline flexing their arms together. Another Victory Animation for them will be Donkey Kong and Pauline Dancing together and then they do a Thumbs up together. Their Last Victory Animation would be Donkey Kong and Pauline obtaining a Banandium Gem and showing it to us. Also Have a Donkey Kong Bananza Stage based on one of the layers.

I actually love your list. Gonna list some of my own choices with the reasoning:
Paper Mario: 1st party rep for Nintendo's biggest franchise that would be completely unique like you already said.
Decidueye: Grass starter rep that could have a very interesting moveset with projectiles and ghost shenanigans.
Bandanna Dee: always the 4th playable Kirby character, Kirby is a huge franchise and Sakurai's baby (if Sakurai stays on for the next Smash Bros).
Issac: Out there first party inclusion. Could be interesting with alchemy and djinn powers. Lot of potential movesets.
Lynn: New Fire Emblem rep. One of the most recognizable characters in the franchise that isn't Marth. Another sword user kinda sucks, but it would be a fast character with a bow as well.
Doomguy: you gave some great reasoning in the video, but also incredibly important for gaming history. Popularized FPS games, literally could be played everywhere, and there are still games coming out that use a modded version of the engine.
Dark Souls rep: Not sure if Solaire or the Chosen Undead would be better, but its published by Bandai Namco who publishes Smash Bros as well.
Tetris block: Great joke character. Tetris is I think one of the most successful games of all time and recognizable up there with Pac Man. Would make a great joke character to include.
Sandbag: Another great joke character. Moveset can include Smash exclusive items.
Another Sonic character: Idk who even to go with. Shadow (echo of Sonic), Tails, Knuckles, Eggman. All could have great movesets and be interesting.
Crash: Playstation rep. Recognizable, great retro character for gaming history.
Spyro: Same reasoning as Crash. 1 of the 2 (even both) would be cool.
Quote: I would actually love to see Quote as the indie rep. Cave Story was the game that kind of kicked off the indie movement. Not sure what his moveset would be, been forever since I played (and never beat) Cave Story but I know there's a bunch of different guns, maybe there's something there.

Technically there WERE over 34 copies sold

Sky you’ve been in the kitchen cooking!! Been enjoying all the new content these last few days.

For a character, hoping for Zagreus from Hades. I think he’s super cool and has a lot of potential for play style

I expect a much, much smaller roster next time, but if we were talking about expansions...

1. Shovel Knight (Shovel Knight)
2. Hornet (Hollow Knight)
3. Dr. Eggman (Sonic)
4. Doom Slayer (Doom)
5. Zagreus or Melinoe (Hades)
6. Solaire (Dark Souls) (I'd much rather have a specific character rather than the generic avatar character)
7. Dragaux (Ring Fit Adventure) (as with the Dark Souls rep, I don't want generic avatar characters whenever possible)
8. Crash Bandicoot (Crash Bandicoot)
9. Rabbid Peach (Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle)

And just because I think it was a pretty great selection in this video:

10. Paper Mario (Paper Mario)

Nice

7:57 I want that gal next to Geno on the left

#ShantaeforSmash!

just give me jibanyan and im happy

Ditto from pokemon pokopia

Dr. Eggman is a MUST because he’s basically the ONLY third-party villain NOT in the game. Sakurai wanted the roster to have a “Heroes vs. Villains” motif and if Final Fantasy can get their villain, there’s no reason Sonic can’t.

Paper Mario is a solid choice too. The moveset mods people have made are incredible!

Crash Bandicoot is a no-brainer because he was a direct rival to Mario and Sonic in the 90s. Not only do the original Crash commercials have a guy in a Crash costume calling out Nintendo HQ, but it could even be a Mii Fighter costume as well! Heck, the reveal trailer for Crash could be the character costumes from the Smash 64 trailer encountering the guy in the Crash costume and attacking each other on-sight! Crash is the biggest omission from Smash in my eyes because it feels like he was MADE for Smash.

Waluigi is also a top priority because…he’s Waluigi. He’s the only human Mario character NOT in the game and would have a fun moveset. Seems obvious why so many people want him in.

Paper Mario, Waluigi, Bandana Dee, Dixie Kong, Krystal and Isaac are long overdue. I'd welcome Birdo, Sylux, Skull Kid, Geno and Shantae. The complete off the wall character that would blow everyone's minds would be ol' Master Chief. Never played Halo, but I know the impact that would have. Crash Bandicoot would also be a very good 3rd party.

Sora was my most wanted since childhood and it is still surreal to see him in the game (even though the music selection was super lacking)

My new most wanted first party is Ravenbeak from Metroid

My new most wanted guest (and new most wanted overall) is Agumon from Digimon. I think it would be cool to see an inherently weak fighter evolve mid match to become a near unstoppable force.
