Vanity Fair just put out a piece about Erika Kirk, yet somehow we understand her even less now than we did before. The only thing we know for sure is that she definitely wanted to be famous.
Some of the things this article reveals about Erika are pretty interesting. For one thing, she doesn’t really seem to be very… political? Which is odd for someone who was married to Charlie Kirk. In Clara Molot’s interviews with Kirk, she almost never discussed politics or even seemed to have an actual opinion in this area. Is this because she is so indoctrinated into Christian nationalist patriarchy that she doesn’t know what she actually thinks? Did someone not pass along the talking points?
One thing that does seem to be true is Erika always had interest in fame. Before she married Charlie Kirk, she had auditioned for a number of bit parts in Bravo reality TV shows. I guess marrying the founder of Turning Point USA was the next best thing? But now that she has been made the CEO of TPUSA and is in the spotlight, she seems completely lost in the role.
