It's so funny, we actually studied film history here in Poland, and when the teacher got to Intolerance, he actually went "Yeaaaaah......"

"Monty Python and the Holy Grail" was originally supposed to be spread across time, but they changed it when they realized that all their best jokes were in the medieval setting.

The Meme of kid yelling "when will you learn,(voice cracks) that your actions have consequences!?" Pretty much sums this whole film.

"Cajun Satan grinch"

"Every thing is connected...T mobile" dying😂😂😂

the after skit is awesome lol

Rearranging the stories into mosaic did make them more confusing to follow, but to be fair, it also helped to create some of the most beautiful scenes in this movie

I know I shouldn't be focusing on this detail... but WOW a complete story written on a piece of stone from 1750BCE would be extremely valuable on so many levels.

A few things.
1. I am a big massive fan of the movie (only ever got to read the czech translation of the book, that might have taken a lot from it. It probably definitly absolutely did.)
2. Its half past 3AM and I have been binging on you since I found this channel three days ago (I did sleep in between)
3. All you said I can agree on.
4. I once won an argument with a particularly snarky college professor after she said "have your truth" a slovak phrase meaning she is done with the conversation and Im an idiot and I countered with Sonmi: Truth is singular, every other version is a mistruth. She taught philosophy and is probably searching her books for who I stole it from to this day. :-D

1:40 "Da Ali Gump Show!" had me laughing so hard!

Tom Hanks laughing is so cute.

They DO use white actors in black makeup, albeit just for a second. It's so quick that it's easy to miss.

In the last timeline, several of the actors as seen as prescients in dark-skin makeup just before the ship takes off.

I keep wondering whether the Hanks comment about how many Oscars he has is supposed to imply he's good or bad here. I love him in this.

7:26 "For some reason the directors had the guile not to put any actor in blackface"
The movie actually did the Blackface with Jim Broadbent (Cavendish) acting as one of the black Prescients.  Its just a minor role however so it is understandable why there are complaints about the movie not having blackfaces despite displaying whitefacing and yellowfacing

It is one of my favorite movies of recent years.

Oh my gosh that ending! LOL

I LOVE your videos. They make me think about things I never have before and give new insight into things I have formed opinions. Even when I disagree I can see and understand your points. I really love watching you!

The comet isn't superfluous! It's a passing of the touch to the individual that has the most impact in each timeline, and creates the ripples through time.

I HAVE actually cut it up and put it in order. The issue is that the sound and images aren't always synchronous so I have a mute ordered version of it but not one with sound :'(

I’m glad Bae Doona got the role, frankly, because it probably got her the role of Sun in Sense8.

Can't believe Kyle missed the parallel intertextuality that the film kept in...

Just as his example showed that a badly worded statement can still inspire...

Frobeshir's sextet music, a beautiful piece of music... is forgotten for centuries and ultimately picked up as a bit of consumer speak advertising playing in the background of the cafe somni451 was "made" for...

In other words... sometimes, the most beautiful work of art can just become another piece of consumerist trash...

While even a badly worded statement can inspire revolutions.
