Cloud Atlas was ahead of its times. It's one of those movies that people begin to appreciate more and more as time passes by.... as they begin to get it!

one thing you didn't highlight, is this film is definitely a proponent of time being a flat circle, with all the stories happening simultaneously.  the editing is brilliant in showing this, for example, son mi says one door closes and a new one opens and she will see him there and the movie cuts to the door opening with Adam Ewing arriving back to his wife.....again, this is a brilliant aspect of the film, imo of course...

The secret to Cloud Atlas is to watch it more than once and watch it with Close Captioning on. Things you miss in most movies are because of wording, this is one of those movies. Great movie!

The way they linked the stories with Easter eggs was insane and to brilliant for average movie watchers.

It is incredible how these actors changed completely their roles

Ben Whishaw's hair deserves its very own Oscar.

This was one of the most beautiful and moving movies I have seen to date.. loved it.

One of my all time favorties. I liked how the most vicious person (played by Hugo Weaving) became an evil spirit by the end.

This is my all time favorite film. I have seen it at least a dozen times and always pick out a new detail I never saw before. 👍

This movie is like comfort food to me. I can see why it might not be for everyone, but I love it.

Films with this amazing level of writing just aren’t made anymore. So many levels of depth and someone who experiences very vivid dreams, lucid dreams and deja vu which often makes me feel complacent with reality and the wonder as to why it is. This film really meant a lot to me that there are people that are so deeply thinking the same way to make a film of this level. It makes time feel more fluid than a straight path.

A sci -fi masterpiece. And one of my favorite films of all time.

The stupidest critique I've heard about this movie is that it used tons of yellowface/blackface/brownface/etc...  That person basically let me know that they had no interest in trying to understand the movie.  In my opinion, it's the best thing the Wachowskis ever made.

I don't think anyone has ever tried to convey the evolution of a consciousness/soul across time and multiple incarnations before? Really was a work of art.

recently read the novel. Ofc there are many details left out from the book, but the movie was quite faithful and I actually preferred the story telling overlaying each story together instead of the circular narrative of the book. Honestly I'm not sure why people don't get this movie, maybe its too fast paced but the themes seem apparent. I think even if one does not resonate with the concept of reincarnation you can appreciate the editing of the film alone is very ambitious, singular and executed amazingly

Masterpiece that requires the audience to pay attention and watch a couple times to fully absorb the story.

My all time favorite movie, I own at least three different formats and have watched it at least 12 times. I’m almost 60 and have had this movies’ perspective on life since I died at three years old and came back “just knowing things” , my family would say. I’m the youngest of 14 children, it wasn’t easy, I was bullied relentlessly at home and school, knowing that there’s so much more to “life” than what we experience here on earth is what got me thru.

Something about this movie the music the scene transitions. All of it inspires me to live my best life today! I've seen this movie more than 100 times and I spot something new each and every time.

I remember seeing a trailer once, and never paid it attention. One day I saw a clip of it and thought it was interesting. Watched it and haven’t stopped thinking about it. It’s such a deep movie in religion and philosophy.

I UNDERSTOOD IT COMPLETELY!!! Saw it in theaters three times - one of my Top 💯 Favorite Films!!!
