Woooooow, that was completely unexpected!

What a huge honor it is to be featured on a Johnny VS video after watching so many of them over the years. Thank you so much for enjoying (and reviewing) our game!

I won’t lie “Hellfire Saga” sounds like a sonic story book game.

I love how the game where Sonic goes to literal hell still hits on the main tropes of a canon Sonic game. Way too high concept an evil power source? Themes that contrast sharply with a blue hedgehog? Eggman STILL losing despite everything and Sonic getting out of it just fine? Perfect

So cool to see! I composed the main theme of Hellfire Saga. 😁

Johnny: we are going back to castlevania
Me: nice
Johnny: the game boy games
Me: ...get the popcorn kids, this is gonna be good

"Bullshit. Hell sucks". Agreed 100% Johnny. Purgatory for life.

How to make the Anti-Johnny level even more Anti-Johnny:
Slicers
Blue coins
a crystal tower to climb
a wiki of all the Kingdom Hearts lore
and a message from Retro studios announcing Metroid Prime 4 was being canceled.

This had the feel of an old school Johnny Vs. from the start, but 11:14 is what really sealed it for me.

And then Sonic took it personally

Nah, here's the REAL missed opportunity: Eggman makes a deal with Chaos, and he thinks it's the same Chaos as the one from the Emeralds (don't ask why he's trying to work with Chaos again after the last time, it might an AU or something). Little does he know that it's not THAT Chaos he made a deal with, oh no. The Chaos in question.....is the one that powered DRACULA.

2:18 no, I don’t think I will.

Honestly, i wouldn't be surprised if the main big bad turned Tikal into a succubus jus for shits and giggles even though Vanilla is right there.

All I remember from Hellfire Saga was that boss you fought during the Sonic Hacking Contest that had Mickey Mouse as a boss's transformation and you and the gang's reaction to that. Gonna look into this game when I have the chance.
