Had to put myself on blast in that clip in the beginning 😂 I’m not perfect. I’ve said some INCREDIBLY dumb things in my life and as I get older, I’m trying to learn more about the world around me.I’m still curious though, what’s the dumbest thing you’ve heard from an American? You guy’s stories are ALWAYS wildly entertaining hahaha!

What's the difference between the US and Yoghurt? If you leave Yoghurt alone for 250+ years, it develops a culture...

"America has a long history. The US does not."

That line is fire. It encapsulates so much about the darkness in US history.

As a Nigerian, I can attest to the fact that I am well-traveled because I have gone to a lot of countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and parts of The Americas.

Even though we Nigerians speak 523 languages, have close to 300 ethnic groups and varying tribes from East to West and North to South, to the Middle Belt Areas and Free Zones, have more than 200+ accents that vary from town to town, the fact that I've visited all 36 states (some of our states are as big as the whole UK), a lot of Crossriverean communities and their territories and LGAs in Nigeria, doesn't make me well-traveled. Not really, actually.

You Americans think you are culturally everything. Indonesia and Papau New Guinea have close to a thousand languages along with Nigeria coming 3rd in the whole wide world. Even Ireland alone has more history and culture than the USA. Enjoy your bubble-gum fantasies.

Saying "We won the war!" as an argument against someone who also won the war... Genius!

People still heavily underestimate how culturally diverse Europe is. It drives me nuts when they a) call Europe a country b) if they don't call it a country they still think all the European countries are "basically the same". Hell not! It's the same when you say that Canadians are basically Mexicans.

I just wanna mention that in Germany, the last school sh**ting was in 2023. It was the first since 2009. When it happen here, it's a national tradegy. If it happen in the US, it's Wednesday. That's the difference.

The difference in travelling around the states and travelling around Europe, is the huge cultural differences between European countries. Sure Texas has a slightly different culture to say Maine, but it's not the same as the difference between say Albania and Portugal.

An American once didn't believe me that we have electricity in Germany while we were in a voice chat....

Showed this Video to my Dad an he deadass said:
Yeah, wehn someone travels across one or two american states he might have moved across the distance of 3 to 4 countrys in Europe, but he will have encountered zero cultures.

German here: Losing the American War of Indepence was the British dodging the ultimate bullet, I'd say. 😀

One of my favourite American brainfarts is how they casually use 57/28510 inch and 947/26443 gallon and half freedom and whatnot, but when a 1/4 pound burger changes to 1/3 pounder, they go batshit, cause "burgur smaller, cause the 3 smaller than 4"

12:05 - America is 9,840,000 square km, Europe is 10,186,000 square km

"we created the language, we built the world" - and there you go.. that's the American bubble.

Always super curious which wars the US thinks it's been winning. Even your war of independence was won by the French... Pretty much the only war the US decisively won was your Civil War... Would have been real embarrassing if you'd lost that one.

Last few clips reminded me of that cool quote:
"Talking with an idiot is like playing chess with a pidgeon. No matter how amazing your moves were, pidgeon will knock down the figures, shit on board and fly away thinking it has won".

Thought I might elaborate on the school shooting in Scotland. On the 13th of March 1996, a 43 year old male walked into Dunblane Primary School armed with 2 9mm Browning Hi-Power pistols, and 2 Smith & Wesson Model 19 revolvers. He killed 16 children, a teacher, injured 15 other people, and then himself.

What followed was something called the Snowdrop Petition, and that resulted in two new Firearm acts that prohibited the private ownership of pistols.

We saw the death of a bunch of five and six year olds, and decided it was never happening again.

We have had other gun crimes over the years, but seeing how our worst shooting in UK history had fewer deaths than all of the mass shootings in the US, in January of 2025.

I’m sick of the size of the US is for comparing countries. BS. We don’t do that in Australia. We’re pretty much the same size. My state can fit in 4 Texases! Texas is small. We travel all over and don’t make stupid comments.

I have an American friend, bless her heart, who, after weeks of text chatting with me (in English) was floating the idea of coming over to visit me and my Australian boyfriend in The Netherlands (I am a Dutchie), and as I was telling her that, sure, we have a guest room here that you can stay in, she asked me out of the blue: "Btw, do either of you guys speak English?"
I was so confused, but it didn't get better after she explained that she thought I had been communicating using a translation service with her this whole time. Like uhhhhh... And even IF that were true, and I know I don't need to spell this out for most of you, but AUSTRALIANS SPEAK ENGLISH.

Later on she realised how dumb her question was hahaha.

One of my English teachers in Germany was from the US. I told him, that I am originally from Austria.
He: Oh, it's the same country anyway."
I: No what? Different countries with different laws. Just like the US and Canada."
He: "No, it's not."
I just rolled my eyes and left.
