The stories you all had in comments of the LAST video in this series were DIABOLICAL lol!!! Seriously, I almost binged the whole comment section! What is the wildest thing YOU‘VE been told by an American?

Anyone claiming Lindt and Hershey‘s chocolate taste the same has had American food for way too long and hence killed all of their taste buds…. Most ridiculous statement of the day….

"Did you hear about the mass shooting this morning?"

"Which one?"

Australia here: (A German school student visits the US as part of an international exchange program. The US guest family gives the German student a guided tour of the house and in the kitchen they said:)
US: This is a "RE-FRIi-GE-RA-TOR". We use it to keep our food cold.
German Exchange Student: Yes, it's a German refrigerator. It was made by Bosch, a German company.

Hi, pole here. I don't mean to be mean but: if bosses don't pay their workers because they are getting paid by costumers tips, and costumers tip if they want but don't have to, they will just come out as rude... So if your only source of income are tips from costumers, does that mean that workers are basically slaves and beggars? 😮

LOL
I love the American expat whispering: "I tell people I'm Canadian now..."

As a diabetic, i literally choked when he said, "insulin is a privilege, not a right" WHAT?? Thank God im Canadian

31:24 "You speak english, because that is the only language that you know. I speak english, because that is the only language that you know. We are not the same!"

If that person cannot tell the difference in taste between Hersheys and Lindt - let them eat Hersheys! Their loss!

The thing is, we don't mind people who get things 'wrong' the first time around,  its the insistence that the 'American' Way is correct that gets our goat.

Australia here:
In Zurich, Switzerland 2018, around the time of the World Economic Forum, despite the good food, a group of male US tourists complained to one of the waiters in a local restaurant that their bill was incorrect, that the pizza back home was better and cheaper, and attempted to pay in USD. When the manager explained to them that the restaurant dealt in Swiss Francs and Euros but did take Visa and Mastercard, they predictably opted to use Amex. One of the US men then told the restaurant manager the classic line that the US had liberated their country and that they should be more grateful. When the manager explained that Switzerland had been neutral during WW2 the American said "if it wasn’t for us you’d be speaking German." The staff and the other guests inside the restaurant then shared a glance and immediately switched to High German for the remainder of the stay of the US guests.

Australia here:
US: You do realise that the US invented beer and made it more popular right?
France: Beer was invented around 4000 BCE in Neolithic Central Europe or else by the Sumerians during the times of Ancient Mesopotamia also at around 4000 BCE. Beer was even chemically confirmed to have existed in Iran by 3500 BCE.
US: I mean craft beer.
Germany: My local pub is older than your country.

A great answer to the question "what is the difference between american beer and american water" would be "American beer is not flammable. American water has a 10% chance to be flammable.

In my experience the worst things with USA citizens is their overly 'sensitive' reaction to critcism. They seem to react really negatively to people questioning the things we see that are wrong in the USA.

Here in Europe, it would be considered fraud if I ordered a 0.4 litre drink in a restaurant and the glass was half full of ice. But now I understand why there are ‘free refills’ in the USA when half of the first drink consists of ice.

I'm from the UK. When I went to the States, I was asked if I knew the queen. Personally. Plus, when I didn't like a bunch of stuff that seemed tediously stupid to me, I was told by the little boy of the family we were staying with (family of my mom's Canadian friend, btw I say 'mom', not 'mum' as I'm from Birmingham UK and we say mom) "that's because you're British!" While his dad looked proudly on.
Also, they boasted that they didn't have to eat leftovers from the previous day's meal because they weren't poor. As my mom was earning, adjusted for inflation, £250k at the time and we ate leftovers because we're not fucking stupid enough to throw good food in the bin, this boggled our minds. They were a black family, and so are we, but maybe because my mom is Jamaican, that's why. I'm trying to be generous here but it was still stupid.

The first July 4th, after I'd emigrated to the states, (I've been home thirty odd years now!)someone asked "do you guys celebrate the 4th in England?" I said "we lost that one, do you guys celebrate Vietnam?", he turned into some kind of shouty, violent, jumpy up and downy creature which was calmed down by two girls who were walking to the party with us.

During WW2 the US “helped” the UK with Lend/Lease. Which basically meant we were given equipment for HIRE! It took us over 60 years to pay it off WITH INTEREST. It was very profitable for the US.

Americans are the only ones who respond to the question "where are you from? " with the name of a state, not the country, as everyone in the world apparently should know all the states. But the dude didn't even say the state, he went with the town name! The name which is already taken by muuuuch more famous London😂

10:12 If they melted down all the weapons in America, you wouldn't have to import steel for at least 10 years, saving millions in tariffs and it would be made in America. 😉🤣
