For those who care, I believe we had a few extra units within our armies but the specifics escape me. as I don't think they played much of a role in the game. EDIT: The terrain that I won got destroyed in a move, but I posted up a pic of it in my Discord. It's nothing too crazy, just a rune stone in the middle of a circle. THANK YOU! for everyone who has donated to the channel! you guys are EPIC!
Regardless! thank you for watching and commenting!
Basically guy built his entire army to abuse a game mechanic and your army was an unintentional counterpick. Seems like he was used to winning easily by stunning the other side and stomping them while they were shell shocked, so like most min/maxers he immediately got salty when it was his turn in the barrel.
I guarantee you this guy spent at least a month designing that army for tournament play to make it as easy as possible for him to win based on stun control and never once thought he would run into an army that does not care about stun.
"Damn you Gimgam! How dare you outplay my gimmick army designed to never let my opponent even use their models!" Hard to believe that jerk was married. I felt bad for the lady.
worst player i have ever dealt with was really recently. Guy gets his poxwalkers into combat with my tank, kills it and i roll a 6 so my tank explodes and kills his entire unit of poxwalkers. He was still likely to win had he not gotten bitchy and just picked his stuff up and left...........like wtf
If you make an army that is entirely meant to revolve around 1 mechanic, you just have to realize that if you play against an army that counters that mechanic, you are going to get crushed. It's very very simple. Plus, it really seemed he was projecting what he was doing onto Gamza. "Your army is broken and you're a cheese player" I'm sorry, but who's army is built around solely abusing a single mechanic that makes it impossible for the opponent to play the game?
Had a similar incident happen in Age of Sigmar. I was playing Bonereapers. My opponents army was built around fear bombing, with units that lowered bravery, weapons that lowered bravery, artifacts that lowered bravery, and spells that lowered bravery. He kept stating this when we started, how he was gonna make “those skeletons run home crying to mommy.” The very first turn, he told me to take a Battleshock test, and I promptly informed him that Ossiarch Bonereapers don’t take Battleshock Tests. I’m not sure how he didn’t know that huge defining trait of our army. He was flabbergasted. And kept saying, as I was destroying him, “I would beat you so easy if your army took Battleshock tests.” I spent 25 years in the infantry and finally had enough and said. ‘If if if. If your momma had a cock and balls, she’d be your dad.” He just shut up and lost, and refused to shake my hand, then reported me for cheating because I refused to take Battleshock tests. They laughed at him.
i had a chaos lieutenant with an axe of khorne and 7 of his berserk drinking buddies takeout two space wolves armies and a grey knights army in a doubles tourney once thanks to consolidation
