This is pure gold. I miss those days before sports became nothing but a business.

Slick Watts, #13 on the Sonics, died on March 15, 2025. I won an autographed check from him in 1977 and finally got to meet him about 15 years ago. Very nice guy.

I ead born in 1960...watched the games collected the tops cards..i remember all of these guys

Nothing better than listening to Bob Blackburn on the radio for the Sonics.

Downtown Freddy Brown. One of the best three point shooters in the league --when the line could be available 😅

Rick Barry is one of the greatest players to ever play the game a cool Hall of famer I grew up watching them he can do it all have you played in the NBA today he still would be great who is better than both of his sons in the NBA

Omg. Slick watts.....I haven't heard that name forever... RIP

I enjoy this style of play then what we have in 2025!

1:52:18 Phil Smith inbounding the ball, my favorite player from the era.  RIP.

Tremendous! Thank you!! OAKLAND: Titletown USA, 1972-76.

This upload is actually very good quality!!

Love that mid 70’s NBA on CBS theme. Funny how much more flow the game had to it without the damned three point line. I was at every Warrior home playoff game in ‘75. What a time to be an Oakland sports fan!

I was born in 1975 this is great!

And the commercials, this is great.

The Towering inferno !! A Sunday night disaster classic !!

Thanks for the upload!  Classic NBA.  Love downtown Freddie Brown!

The great Hawkeye 'Downtown' Freddie  Brown. 😊

The Rockets chap being interviewed before the game is Mike Newlin. My sister dated his brother for a while.

The great Don Criqui.

Frank Leiber and Lynn Shakleford( Lakers color analysis that year )on the  coverage of this game
