The Legendary Brent Musburger.

0:13 The CBS introduction to this game is awesome. Thank you for posting this classic game.

Takes me back to 10th Grade.

These games were video taped and played after midnight. The NBA in the 70s basically didn't exist. Us 70s teens had to stay up late to watch

Game was good.... commercials very entertaining... brings back memories.

Incredible Rick Barry's haircut.

Loved these Sonics teams during this two year span...

I'm guessing CBS had this on at 11:30 eastern since they had the results of the other games. Always enjoyed taping the late night games (a little too young to watch this one) and watching them the next morning.

Jack sikma going toe to toe with kareem.  He must be one of the lesser known hall of famers from that era.  I had to double check to see if he was inducted

Rick ready to go to the disco after the game

Wow, this really takes me back to the good old days of the NBA when I first began watching in ‘78. Seattle was the dominant team in the Western Conference, winning it 2 consecutive years, then taking the title in ‘79 over the Washington, after having lost to them in the 78 Finals. But the Lakers were fast on the rise. They just didn’t have Irvin yet.

@1:33:27 Lenny just came back from his Saturday Night Fever audition

❤ oldiev1970s nba basketball

This is when basketball was at its best. Old School.  I liked the ABA too.

Jack Nicholson in his usual courtside seats at 14:01.

Traveling calls were way strict and frequent yesteryear.

I can not even Imagine a player doing a Eurosrep in the NBA back in the 1970s ,1980s or late 1990s.

Skipped ahead. First thing a travel was called. Times have changed.

,Gus n DJ were the best

Commentators:
Brent Musburger & Rick Barry.

Normie Nixon was awesome.
Gus Williams was HOF material.
Lakers had the "PREZIDENTS":
Nixon, Washington, Ford. Et. al..
