If that's the only 3, then Yzerman could give Larkin the same treatment he gave to Drouin in Tampa, and not trade him until a favorable deal comes. That time it took 18 months
Dylan Larkin virtually dropped his drawers, took a dump on the middle of the floor, plugged his nose and said “that fucking stinks, I’m out of here” and left it for everyone else to clean up
Strip the C and void the no movement clause. Only move him when the return makes sense. Play him on 2nd or 3rd line or healthy scratch…I agree he doesn’t belong back on the ice for the wings, but you can’t give him up for little return
9:13 We had a guy back out of our team just before we went to the Battle of Nasiriyah in Iraq in 2003. Obviously war is a bit different, but we hated the dude for it. His name was mud and he could never escape from that decision for the rest of his career. I know it haunts him in retirement.
This will haunt Larkin for the rest of his life. Red Wings fans run deep nationwide. He will be heckled relentlessly for eternity. Enjoy the ride, Dylan.
I would love Lundell as a Finnish Red Wings fan, but given how highly Maurice talks about him, I do not think Florida has any interest in trading him, sadly. Both Karlsson and Hertl have trade protection, would they come to Detroit? Trevor Connelly is a good prospect, but there were questions about his character, and Yzerman is probably one of the strictest GMs when it comes to factoring in player character. Dorofeyev is probably the only target that makes sense for Detroit from Vegas. Minnesota as a trade partner does not excite me at all, but I have a feeling that is the most likely destination. Maybe Wallstedt is included in the trade, but flipped to a goalie needy team. This is bad. Yzerman has to get Larkin to waive to a few more teams. Anaheim and Utah have bright futures and they have the assets to make intriguing offers.
As a Blues fan, this list is a joke and I’m getting tired of the demands from these idiot players. You willingly signed a contract. Shut up and play. Your check shows up on time every time. Hold up your end. Why do we let these players have all of this leverage?
Habs fan since the 60s i agree with your take and think SY will play hardball until he gets a deal for the team. If not does Debrincat leave after next season? I also heard DL no trade drops to 10 teams after this coming season. Could be a long season
Yzerman is just going to do what he did with Drouin, make larkin uncomfortable until he adds more teams to the list so that he can get back actual usable pieces. Remember, he got Sergacheev in return for Drouin. And if we lose Larkin for the season without a trade, we need to move debrinkat and aged vets so restart the rebuild, this time building around sider and raymond.
