The “sell the team” chant was 100% appropriate and accurate.

Detroit, making backups look like vezinas since 2015

Kasper had more shots on goal than the entire 1st line combined... Let that sink in

As I look at the SOG. Cat 1, Copp 1, Rayzor 1. So three shots on goal from our top line? Not gonna work. Finnie or Kasper needs to be our 1C.

I’m past sad, I’m past apathy lol let it crumble and burn at this point.  Illitch doesn’t deserve the team.  Perfect way to start.   We had jerseys thrown out, Larkin booed louder than I’ve ever heard, sell the team chants.   Absolutely beautiful 👌

This franchise has turned into a complete dumpster fire, top to bottom!

The national broadcast hated us when we used to be good, now they hate us cause we’re bad. I am deaf to their opinion.

Typical play. Come out asleep & lose in the first period

Wouldn't say it went horribly. I'd say it went exactly as we all expected coming into the year. The defense and goaltending is decent enough to keep them in games but there's very little offensive talent on this team. They are gonna be bottom of the league in 5v5 scoring and likely PP too.

Gibby didn’t get lit up to start the year. There’s a positive. The offence is a rough watch though. It’s going to be a loooonng year with Copp getting the amount of minutes where he’s playing. They need  two top 6 forwards. Osama Bin Larkin. That was 🥶 Just the picture was so funny.😂

The first 5-6 games are training camp paid for by the fans. First game as expected. Offense will be a problem this year. McClellan knows that. I was hoping the LCA would be empty. That's the only way pizza boy will get the message. DONT GO.

I think the title of this video is a bit dramatic. It didn't go that horribly. A lot of young guys looked good. Sadly their efforts were thwarted by Copp and Compher existing.

shouldn’t be any surprise it’s so obvious this is a rock bottom nhl team as bad as Vancouver

Moves have to be made asap, because this is just sad. Sign Edvinsson tomorrow and trade Larkin because this cannot continue like this. Nobody is benefiting from this. Even if this just ends up being a retooling year, the vibes and culture have to change.

I never booed as loud and long in my entire life. Was fun singing "Sell the team" to the "Let's go (team)" song during the breaks.

Looking forward to saving money on hockey games this season

Sell the team

Yeah it is going to be a rough season for Detroit. I would not be shocked if Detroit sells at the deadline. The organization is a mess and I would not be shocked if Dylan is traded at the deadline. I can now understand why he wants out of this organization if it is so bad.

Any Wings fan knows you could bet the house on getting shutout by an inexperienced goalie. Only 1 game, wasn't atrocious, not too down on the team but I get why people are mad. Having a lot of home games isn't going to bode well if they keep losing and feel the fanbase is against them. Gotta find a way to win some games.

The boys looked okay. Defense looked decent. We are definitely gonna struggle with 60+ goals off the table without Kaner and Larkin. There’s some things to like here. I see a tad bit of light. Rasmussen, Compher, and Copp are fucking ABYSMAL tho. Holy Christ.
