To be fair, he wasn't taught what laws there are.

In what world do we live in that we have to censor words like "sexual", "anorexia" or "depression"?

Edit: Yes, I know it's capitalism. That's my point. And no, it doesn't have anything to do with "people being soft", it's about companies who don't want to be linked to any real world issues and due to that videos with sponsorships or regular monetisation (and thus ads) cannot include such words.

The creators could of course decide to not censor those words, but they don't, because they want to make money.

If you know who Boyinaband is, video starts at 13:00. Rest is filler backstory, this is a 2 minute video.

Those accusations should be addressed by court not by reddit posts and  comments. Today we can fabricate anything, and we as content consumers we don't have any means to discern and resolve that matter.

If those allegations weren't real, with how his mental health was, I feel like that'd be enough to push him away from everything and solidify his disappearance.

I was gonna get away with murder, but then the prosecution pulled up an anonymous reddit post. They had me dead to rights.

Sad thing is, we live in an age where allegations such as this wind up leading to accused being “Guilty until proven innocent”

This reminds me of the time when the second singer of Lorna Shore was accused of similar things by his ex-girlfriend.  After he got kicked out of the band and had his reputation ruined, it turned out that his ex-girlfriend lied about the entire thing.  I'll never believe these types of accusations unless I'm provided with valid and complete supporting evidence.

Considering the fact that people trashing him online were ALSO the same people to remove their posts makes me doubt he's actually a horrible person.... UNTIL there is SOLID proof he's innocent until proven guilty and it's no wonder he's no longer online if people slander him when he's not around to defend himself

The fact that the accusations were made on social media instead of being brought to the authorities and the accusers still remain anonymous to this day says everything you need to know as far as I'm concerned.

The fact that it was on Reddit and there was no legal procedures involved is one of the biggest red flags for me.

I appreciate that this video explains how there's no proof of the allegations being true. I'd only ever seen the "I was never taught what laws there are" memes and just assumed that he'd done some messed up shit, but I'm glad someone explained it in a way that wasn't just "he did bad things apparently". Great video

Just because someone's mentally ill doesn't mean they have to be an abusive attention seeking narcissist guys, until given proper proof allegations are just that, allegations, we live in the 21st century dammit, practically anyone can frame anyone else for anything

If the reason for censoring out words such as "anorexia" and "bulimia" is due to YouTube guidelines, then the guidelines are fundamentally flawed. Creators shouldn't feel forced to keep such important topics out of their discussions in fear of being less favorable in the eyes of potential sponsors or the risk of being demonetized. These are serious topics that we need to confront, and the idea of censorship - which is also done across literally every social media - is deeply troubling. Life-altering experiences such as EDs, mental illnesses or sexual assault shouldn't be something we need to stay silent about.

I wish people who made false claims knew how incredibly detrimental that is to actual victims

Correction for what was said at 11 minutes, Boyinaband never apologized to Ricegum for the diss track. The "apology" video was a gag about how he apologized to Casey Neistat about "not having nice tats" considering one of the lines in the original song. The reason why the song isn't up on his channel is most likely because Boyinaband usually has his songs go on their creators respective channels, you can see this with every channel he's collaborated with on a song.

Love your videos Internet Anarchist, but I do wanna see you get things right!

You didn't mention that the poster had deleted the accusations and never provided the proof they said they would. The reddit account was a  throw away and has been inactive since.

He did have one very vindictive ex that could have been behind this. You got some major information wrong as well, such as the Ricegum Apology. That was a skit where he apologized to ....casey neistat.

You gotta get your research right my friend! Especially when you're signal boosting accusations that have a significant amount of controversy about their authenticity.

My brother was a rising star in the heavy music scene, and he was really reckless with the women who let into his life. One of these women threw a tantrum at a house party, breaking things, so he kicked her out. She then told everyone on the scene he was a rapist. They'd even call his work, forcing him to constantly find new jobs. But they'd graffiti his work restrooms w/ "rapist"/"monster" allegations, forcing him to leave again. He had to give up music & nearly killed himself on fentynal as he spun out. My brother would never, ever rape someone, and yet his life was temporarily destroyed

I remember when those accusations came out, the accusers had a very "youre either with us or against us" attitude. A pinned comment even said something along tge lines that "not taking a stance is still a stance, so please stop replying thqt youre neutral" and it kinda pissed me off. This combined with them being uidden in anonymity and providing very little evidence has lead me to believe that its a lie
