The Bad Fable Game with a Big Heart | Fable: The Journey Review

When talking about mainline Fable games, Fable: The Journey is often left out of the conversation. And for good reason: The Journey is an Xbox 360 Kinect exclusive, with no ports or re-releases elsewhere. Not to mention, it’s also an absolute nightmare to play. Despite these hurdles, The Journey also happens to include a very emotionally compelling story which wraps up the events of the core trilogy surprisingly well.

00:39 - History of the Game
01:42 - Part I: The Good (Story & Characters)
12:26 - Part II: The Really, Really Bad (Gameplay)

Music in order of when played:
Bowerlake - Fable II OST
Summer Fields - Fable OST
Oakvale - Fable OST
Menu Theme - Fable II OST

Fable was once my go-to game, but never played this installment due to the whole connect palaver. You suffered admirably in order to put this out & I thank you for it. Until now the story, over shadowed by the poor gameplay & controls, was unknown to me.
The reboot has much to live up to, nostalgia possibly the hardest thing to balance correctly, but I keenly await, nonetheless.

I think I said when you started this series that I never played the Fable games. I highly considered getting the first one but never took that last step. It only trook hearing a few words of her voice to recognise Zoe Wanamaker.

Thanks for the video, will never play it but glad to know it has a good story.
Maybe one day we'll have a remake that doesn't involve the Kinect, could maybe do a VR port I suppose though I have little interest in VR and so seems most of the market, unfortunately I think a remake would likely get screwed up some other way but one can hope.

The Kinect is a perfect product. Only way it could be better is if you could also track your feet

This game has a decent story but gameplay is shit.

It's unfortunate this is the furthest point in the lions head story with the second spire destroyed, the hero from F3 has disappeared and we have a new seer at the end. It all set well for a 4th game only for lions head to go under.
