The panel transition from the fight beginning to Kaneki fucked up in the ground limbless was forever seared into my brain.

"Nah I'd Win."

5 seconds later:
"where my limbs go bruh."

Kaneki vs Juzo truly was the "Nah I'd win" before JJK ( I really liked the little skit they added where he fights Juzo like a shonen character would in a tournament setting)

All of Kaneki's personalities conversing in his head was so interesting to me. I like that it implies that the changes to his personality and outlook on life didn't simply replace the ones that came before them. They're all a part of him and make up who he is now.

At the end of Tokyo ghoul, Kaneki already made this mistake when the antique was assaulted. He could have just run away with Toka after being offered the chance.
Instead he went into a suicidal rescue mission, got himself captured and tortured.

Chapter 144 of Re is my absolute favorite chapter in Tokyo Ghoul, all the personalities together, all the different wishes and decisions of Kaneki clashing and coming together, making him choose to become a monster once more—consuming the bodies of children in order to keep protecting those he can. The montage of each Kaneki's turning point finally culminating in the incredible "I will keep moving forward, like a centipede.", not an enlightening moment, nor the culmination of his character—simply another decision that might end up in victory or tragedy, showcasing the cyclical nature of his character.

Damn it's been 10 years and I still click on every Tokyou ghoul video

The sudden panel switch between Kaneki getting ready to fight to him completely destroyed on the ground was so, so, SO good. It really hits, HARD. There are so many moments that refreshed my love for the manga each time, but THAT one was the highest peak in pure subversion. And I have NEVER seen something quite like that in any other series so far.
Also, the opening monologue grows even heavier in meaning when you read the mangaka's thoughts after the manga was finished; he went through a really rough patch of depression, burn-out, and anxiety due to the series, making those dialogues all the more real and personal.

If I had a nickle for every time I saw a white haired manga character go "Nah I'd Win" before losing a fight, I would have two nickles which isn't a lot but it is weird it has happened twice.

When i was younger i rlly didnt get the signficence of kanekis character or what he was going  through, but now I see the author of tokyo ghoul was really cooking.

When i was reading this i thought “this fight finna be heat” only to find out that the next panel would show Kaneki turned to a nugget 💀

I honestly thought that I skipped some pages when I came across that panel 😂

Tokyo Ghoul is true beauty
I beg that they remake the anime at some point during our lives

This reminded me of how hilariously nihilistic black reaper Kaneki was during this exchange. "Wait, am I gonna die?" "Yep, bye-bye" He was just so done and ready to go it cracked me up reading it.

When Kaneki told Hinami that he'll be right behind her he was holding his chin.

Kaneki in the end.... followed his instincts, the culmination of his human and ghoul self. He turned into destruction

chapter where kanekis are contemplating everything is definitely one of my favourites

Lore of Tokyo Ghoul: Analyzing Kaneki's Greatest Failure momentum 100

Kaneki defeated with no arms or leggw is one the most impactful manga panels I've seen. Defenitely one of the best parts of the manga.

Before we got offscreened Kitkat Gojo, we got offscreened chicken nugget Kaneki
