My unmentioned rule in this video was to only mention animals that could be universally identified. And thank you for some of the corrections like the p switch stuff and hope you enjoyed the video! ❤

I'm pretty sure those realistic dolphins are actually some kind of large fish, they seem to have a vertical tail fin instead of a horizontal fluke

For the "Triceratops" if you're wondering,it's probably or may be a Nasutoceratops cuz of the Bull-like Horn structure

4:59 Because those are the Kremlings. They aren't just crocodiles.

To be fair, the T. rex’s “hair” might be feathers. We know some tyrannosauroids at least like Yutyrannus had them.

there's also many other different type of underwater fish like koi fish found in cheep cheep falls

You know what the discovery of those "dolphins" under the water means right? You now have to comb every inch of the in-game explorable ocean to categorise every single random background fish that only shows up under the water.

Ok, somewhat dinosaur expert here:

1. All the prehistoric animals in this game are way bigger than they should be.

2. That is indeed not a Triceratops, as Triceratops (aside from the Diceratops specimen, which only has 2 horns due to a possible deformity) have 3 horns, 2 on the brow and one on the nose. This seems to align more with Nasutoceratops given the placement of the horns and how they look.

3. The Tyrannosaurus in Mario Kart World having hair may be a reference to the fact it's highly likely Tyrannosaurus had feathers in life, considering how some of its ancestors had them. And ironically the amount of feathering is more accurate than you'd think, since unlike the completely fuzzy T.rex you might have seen a few years ago, Tyrannosaurus was way too big to have that much feather coverage (long story short, big=more heat, so a T.rex with that much feathering would immediately die from a heat stroke), and we think it's highly more likely they had sparse feathering like shown in Mario Kart World. (Also you called Odyssey's T.rex realistic, which isn't really true, look up Prehistoric Planet's T.rex, or the Chigago Field Museum statue of Sue).

4. The "Brachiosaurus" in this game looks way more like its contemporaries Apatosaurus or Brontosaurus, due to the fact that Brachiosaurus held its neck way more upright with a proportionally smaller tail, where as this sauropod in game seems to be more horizontal with an equally long neck and tail, similar to Apatosaurus and Brontosaurus (which has been valid since 2015, so don't pretend to be smart by coming at me saying "erm ackshually Brontosaurus wasn't real, etc..., etc...").

5. I love that you specified that Pteranodon (and all Pterosaurs) are not actually dinosaurs, here's a gold star 🌟.

6. It's usually pronounced "Pte-RAN-no-don", not "Ptera-NO-don".

7. Plesiosaurs are not dinosaurs however. Plesiosaurs are Sauropterygians, a group of reptiles very distantly related to all currently alive reptile groups, but most closely related to turtles than to dinosaurs (this applies to Ichthyosaurs too, but not Mosasaurs, as those are just Monitor Lizards).

8. Judging from its anatomy, despite being called Plessie, I think it's actually a dinosaur (perhaps a Hadrosaur or Theropod of some kind, tho the stylized design doesn't help to identify any particular group).

9. That "realistic" Plesiosaur seems to be taken from one of the many Jurassic Park/World mobile games, please do not use anything from Jurassic Park/World as a "realistic" portrayal of a prehistoric animal, unless it comes from Jurassic World Evolution, since Frontier seems to be strangely great at making accurate reconstructions of Prehistoric Animals (their Postosuchus for example is honestly the best reconstruction of Postosuchus I've ever seen in my life, same can be said for their Yutyrannus, Jeholopterus, Shonisaurus, etc...).

I feel like the reason why the ceratopsians around Dino Dino Jungle are perpetually irritated is because of not just because of racers using its face as a ramp, but also it's constantly referred as a Triceratops when it more closely resembles a Nasutoceratops

12:07 I think those are just fish, as their tails appear to be vertical, whereas aquatic mammals tend to have characteristic horizontal tails

The fact that those "buffalo" look more like American bison will always annoy me

I know it's not a "living animal" but I thought the robot DK was going to be an unlockable character

12:15 those are regular fish! They have vertical tails!

5:26 I feel like it best resembles a nasutoceratops because nasutoceratops didn’t have any nose horn and its horns did curved like the Mario kart worlds “triceratops”

6:30 it is very likely that tyrannosaurus rex had small amounts of primitive feathers on their backs, especially around the head, that or the designers thought it looked cool.

The crocodiles somehow look happy and clinically depressed at the same time

The fact that Nintendo made fully detailed 3D models for fireflies that nobody will ever see up close is peak game developer energy! 😭 Also, petition for the whale and the moose to be playable drivers in the next DLC right now.

5:48 looks closer to a Nasutoceratops

5:32 This dinosaur most closely resembles Nasutoceratops, a semi-famous Ceratopsian which is distinct in that it has only two horns and they face forward much like a bull, which the one in-game has.

11:55 that’s not a dolphin. It’s a fish. You can tell because the way the tail fin is vertical.
