Finally, someone who isn't saying either "All Scott Pilgrim characters are toxic" or "Scott is the best person ever"

i love how the scott pilgrim series is a reminder to the reader that we shouldn't dwell on the past nor try to forget it entirely, it teached to just live our life in the present and accept past mistakes

Scott Pilgrim is so cool I wish 24 year olds were real

except I didn't date a minor

i think my favorite part of the scott pilgrim comic and basically my favorite part in any comic i've read so far has to be the paneling during the first call with Envy. MAN! The brilliant use of small panels to not only emphasize just how claustrophobic Scott feels at that particular moment, but it also breaks the fourth wall and subconsciously influences YOU the reader due to the fact that our eyes subconsciously read small and narrow panels very quickly  because they are meant to represent a small moment in time. so the ultimate effect is a reading experience that feels tense and disorienting for all parties involved. bro, that was gold.

“i’ve never even kissed a guy”
“hey me neither”

Finally a refreshing take on Scott Pilgrim media that doesn't focus on the negative of it. Good stuff.

Dude i remember being 7 and playing the game on xbox360 with my uncle, and LOVING IT, i freaked out when i found it at best buy on sale for nintendo switch, and beat it will all the characters in less than 4 days, i also remember hearing that it had a movie too, and also freaked out

This just made me cry, when you talked about scotts behavior and how hes just a fool i realized ive been doing the same shit. Helped me open my eyes though, gonna try and apologize to one of my ex-friends tomorrow due to this. Thanks

Scott pilgrim is a tale of a guy who recognises that he was an asshole, came to terms with his shadow self to save the girl of his dreams from her issues by fixing himself ❤ scott is anyone who strives to be better

Scott pilgrim movie and comics show the depiction of real life adults struggling during the 2000s, back when it was still normal for teens to date 20s years old especially in Canada, ramona and scott felt more realistic to someone because it’s depicts the struggles and problems they have to face to improve themselves, yea it was weird but it wasn’t grooming, she was 17 which is legal in Canada, Scott never loved her it was just a weird rebound until she met his love of his life Ramona Flowers, since Envy Adams broke him up, love ts nonhate review

I love how every character in Scott Pillgrim is believable as a person. Scott is not the worst but not nice either

Scott Pilgrim is the reality that a lot of people think and act mostly out of ignorance instead of malice, and that people often do not think others act on them with the same ignorance they have.

37 now, I'll say one thing about surviving my 20s. Two shows, two characters that are the epitome of a 20 something year old f'up. Scott and Mordecai from Regular Show. Those two character couldn't have been anymore perfect for representing 20 something years with no direction in life.

She's 17 Scott

New readers: HE DATEZ A MINOR?????

old readers: Yeah, don't worry, he becomes a better person after that. Ish, he does try.

last i checked i've never dated a 17 year old so no scott pilgrim is not litterally me

Scott Pilgrim has similarly been in my life since I was young. My dad showed me the movie when I was 11 and borrowed the comics from the library for me to read. I read it again at 15 and reread recently in December I believe? Now as an 18 year old. It’s so fascinating how this series has changed for me over time, as my perception of the characters and the world is informed by my own life experience. Rereading it recently, I felt it was the first time I ever felt like I saw my fears around emotional vulnerability outside of myself. It’s an alienating thing to be scared of the world, love, and your own feelings, but Bryan so beautifully humanises his characters that it felt like having a friend right there who understood me.  It’s seriously such a special story—and it really reminds us to be kind to ourselves and the people around us as we grow and evolve with our changing selves and world.

Can I just say Scott and Ramona are like... Shinji Ikari
Just running away from their past and refusing to do anything that will make them take responsibility for their mistakes
