You know? If the Gods of Destruction are basically mortals who ascended to the title and who show amazing fighting prowess, then I think a DBS special on how Beerus became a God of Destruction would be a very cool and fun idea

The kais don't govern 1 galaxy, they govern cardinal directions, this is confirmed in the Dragonball super Goku black saga of its manga when zamasu says the kais of the cardinal directions.  And we are told from Jaco that the universe is infinite.

The Zamasu thing is not a contradiction. In the manga Zamasu wasnt a king kai, he was nothern supreme kai, and he was training to take Gowasu’s place as the Grand Supreme Kai. He is the nothern king kai in the anime. We can headcanon he was both if for some reason the previous king kai disappeared so the supreme kai took his role.

This could mean that Zeno is the god of destruction of the multiverse while rymus is the supreme Kai of the multiverse just like the same balance with regular gof of destructions and supremes Kai’s 16:38

2:46 king yama oe yamaraja originated in hindu vedic lores is a vedic god. Ofc buddhism being another indic dharmic religion took a lot of indian gods like enma, daikokuten (shiva),kangiten(ganesha), benzaiten (saraswati), indra and so much more. Indian monk named Bodhisena brought buddhism to japan, let's not forget it.

6:25 my theory is it will eventually be replaced with a merit-based system where mortals are promoted to the role, similar to the gods of destruction

I do want to clarify it's not angels can't intervene otherwise Whis would have been in trouble for rewinding time to save earth, it's they can't use their angel power or ultra instinct in a fight, Mirus only got into trouble once he started using ultra instinct, he was working with the galactic patrol after all and didn't get in trouble doing that

5:13 Small correction: they oversee a galaxy each. The Universe contains Four Galaxies and each Kaiō oversees one.

Unfortunately, in recent years, some people have decided to mistranslate certain passages from various sources in order to make them say that the four galaxies somehow contain an infinite number of galaxies. They do this either by claiming that ginga (銀河) means "region" or "quadrant", or by imposing their own context onto parts of the text while ignoring the original one introduced by Toriyama in his personal notes, as well as the explanations transcribed in the guidebooks.

This is a recurring example: in this passage, it follows the in-universe definition of a galaxy:

銀河 宇宙の中にある、局地的な星々の集まり。星が集まって星雲を作り、さらにいくつかの星雲が集まってできた集まりを銀河という。宇宙の東西南北を担当している４人の界王は、実際にはこの銀河を監視している。東西南北の銀河という区分は、天界の神々や界王達が、宇宙空間に無限に存在する銀河を統括

The final phrase, 無限に存在する銀河, gets translated by them as "countless galaxies" or "the infinite number of galaxies". However, this interpretation is incorrect. The phrase literally refers to "galaxies that exist infinitely", and, more importantly, Toriyama has already established the relevant context: 4つの銀河, meaning "four galaxies". Therefore, we have to apply the proper context. If the number is explicitly four, then it cannot simultaneously mean "countless" or "infinite".

Obviously, this does not end there. At that point, they use the diagram of the Universe divided into four sections, labelled 北の銀河 (Galaxy of the North), 東の銀河 (Galaxy of the East), 南の銀河 (Galaxy of the South), and 西の銀河 (Galaxy of the West) and they then claim that 銀河 actually means "region", "galactic region", or "quadrant", and therefore that each "galaxy" is actually a "quadrant containing infinite galaxies". This argument is further reinforced by the notion that "Japanese does not have plurals". Again, however, this falls apart when the actual wording is considered: 4つの銀河 can only mean "four galaxies".

Aside from the fact that people should not arbitrarily alter the meaning of words or invent new meanings for them, the terminology itself is also a problem. "Galactic Region" would be 銀河領域 (if compressed for world-building purposes), while "quadrant" is 象限. Neither term is 銀河.

3:29 I'm not sure but I think that in the DBZ kakarot game it says that not only earthlings go to this specific afterlife

i found the best dragonball explainer !

10:30 what about zamasu?

The Zamasu thing is not a contradiction. In the manga Zamasu wasnt a king kai, he was nothern supreme kai, and he was training to take Gowasu’s place as the Grand Supreme Kai

On the actual last chapter of Super we have Beerus still wants Goku to take his place

nice video!!!

The glind could just use the dragon balls and rebirth the trees

There’s also Zalama who’s also some sort of supreme being, being able to bring back destroyed universes with a wish.

There is some conflict to this idea when it comes to some stuff shown by the series like that time the Ginyu Force came to King Kai’s planet with bodies, that one anime only saga (which Toriyama did have input on as he made characters to be featured in it like Grand Kai) where villains from hell very much with bodies attempting to stage an attack, Yemma having to fight Raditz and use his ‘Yemma Lock’ to hold him down and send him to Hell in a dub if I recall correctly, Etc.

I’m pretty sure a YouTuber named Yurazah did a video on the DB Afterlife and it probably explains things better than I can if you’re curious.

You made one tiny mistake about Zeno, it's not Pure Raw Strength, it's that his power overrides the linear system of strength.

It's like trying to win a ladder  climbing race and then someone walks up with a sniper rifle and shoots you off of it instead.

Rhymus it's  a Super  Demon that create the universe he's  above Zeno.
