Prince is easily the greatest performer and musician I've ever seen live and I've seen most of the greats 💜

Prince was getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that night as well, so he came ready! He also played his ass off later for his induction. One of of one, he was.

As a member of Prince’s PURPLE ARMY since ‘82, I’d like as this - It’s one thing to THINK you know Prince’s music by listening to his “radio” hits. It’s quite another to FEEL his music, once he evolved as a singer, songwriter and, most impressively as the 20th century Mozart. Please REACT to Empty Room, live @Montreux Jazz Festival (2009) & Question of U (live, 2004). These guitar solos will never be replicated, IMO. Enjoy the rabbit hole.  RIP, my sweet Prince!

Prince never, EVER performed while on drugs, at least not the kind you are thinking of. Never. Because he never, ever did those kind of drugs. Yes, he died of a Fentanyl overdose, but that was after painful duel hip replacement surgury and constant painkillers to allow him to keep performing. And I've heard him play Purple Rain live over 200 times. Not once was anything less than stellar. So I'm pretty sure it was you who was on drugs. I mean do you really think THAT GUY (the GOAT) would play his most performed song poorly ever??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think the performance by all of the musicians where great.
Prince did what Prince does. Nail it!

What a great moment in time to have such greats.

Tom Petty and Prince jamming together I almost fainted

Awesome solo by Prince to a beautiful song 😍 Loved it!!!!

The man was one of the BEST ever His S B performance was the best because he did not make the fans only hear his tunes he got them involved from the start chanting We will rock  , he played music that connected with different generations and to top it off the fans ended the concert by singing for him That performance will never be bested I watch it every year instead of whoever they pick

Prince threw his guitar to his handler as he often does.. 💯🔥⭐️☑️

Get you someone who looks at you the way Dhani Harrison was looking at Prince ripping that solo 🤣

Joe you play this guitar beautifully!🥰😊! This song is still such a banger!! Thank you for sharing this with me

Great reaction to a brilliant tribute to dear George! He wrote some amazing songs, will look forward to Beatles reactions coming! 😊

React to “I’m Yours” by Prince. He was about 17 when he released his first album “For You”. Two of my favorite tracks are I’m Yours and Bambi. The guitar solos are sick.

"Isn't it good, Norwegian Wood". Always liked that song. I had such great hopes for "The Traveling Wilburys". I still remember Roy Orbison just bringing out song after song in the 60s. His passing really hit me.
I have heard from several sources that in the studio version of this song, they brought in Eric Clapton for the skills to make a guitar "Gently Weep"

That was fun. IMO Goerge was by far the most talented of the Beatles. He would put out tons more material than the others. Interesting that Prince had not rehearsed with the band and no one knew for sure what he was going to play. Many people including George's wife were worried how he would perform. He is one of those generational talents though, and there are a lot of people that say he is one of the GOATS.

Some points about Prince:
- He never did drugs or alcohol, he was against and he was vegetarian and into animal rights
- He died from an accidental overdose of fentanyl. He was in years of pain for his hip because his dance moves, jumps on heels and because he was making music 24/7 his whole life
- He attended for the rehearsals in the morning but didn't had the chance to play because Marc Mann stepped over him once and once again. So Petty and Prince talk about P doing the final solo
- Prince improvised the solo on the fly and the people on stage and in the audience were in heaven living a moment of rock history
- Some time before this, Rolling Stone Magazine published a list with the Best 100 Guitarists Of All Time; another of their stupid lists made by babies who listen to products for Spotify and commercial radio stations, they can't tell if a song is by Pink Floyd or Nirvana. They let Prince out of the list...
- Prince not only played guitar at a very good level. He played it in a lot of different styles including jazz. He influenced to Miles Davis!
- He had one of the widest vocal range in rock, close to 6 octaves (say the musicians and profesional singers)and in impecable technique
- He also played bass, drums, piano and keyboards; he wrote the music and the lyrics: he arranged and produce all of his music
- Lots of times he threw away his guitar to a technician or directly to the floor

If you have the chance watch him playing live. Specially when his is over his 30. You'll see him playing guitar, a bass, piano... whatever!

Thanks for the reaction mate. Regards from the Basque Country.

Great one Lynne, George is my favorite Beatle. Prince was/is an insanely talented artist and performer. RIP

Truly amazing performance. Forever classic song and always nice to see legends sharing the stage at tribute concerts. You won't regret going down the George Harrison rabbit hole. Btw enjoyed your 'Norwegian Wood' inspired intro.

You’ll love ‘What It Is’ by Mark Knopfler ❤

That's a beautiful sounding 12 string and you play it very well. Loved this tribute to George Harrison and seeing his son looking scarily like him is fascinating. And Jeff Lynne looking cool and sounding amazing in his bucket hat and shades. Not just this but George was an exceptional song writer, Not just this and Here Comes the Sun but songs like Something, Tax Man (bass line used by The Jam in Start), Long Long Long, I Need You and all the songs on All Things Must Pass especially My Sweet Lord and What is Life.

Thanks Lynne, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen this. ❤Prince. I did get to see him at his peak. What a performer! So missed.  Here’s what I’ve read just to bring it back around to Mark Knopfler, I read that when Prince was asked how does it feel to be the greatest guitarist he said “go ask Mark Knopfler” 👏🏻
