"This feels like Mad Max vibes " nah, it's just New York City in the late 70s 😂

This is a classic example of what they mean loosely based on a true story. 10,000 greek mercenaries were trapped in Babylon after the death of Cyrus the Younger and had to fight their way across the Asia Minor and Mesopotamia. Inspired a book in 1965 which transported them to New York which in turn the movie is based on.

Stopping before "In The City" kicks in is sacrilege.

Fun fact: The DJ was played by Lynne Thigpen, best known to fans of "Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego" as The Chief.

The Cult Classic of all Cult Classics. “In The City” is one of the best ending credits song in film history. The video game introduced this movie to a whole generation of people who never even heard of it

I met the cast from this movie at a Comic Con show in 2018 in NJ. They all couldn't be nicer. I have seen this movie so many times. Thanks for reacting to this!

Yes the iconic The Warriors.
This is the ultimate Cult classic 1979

This movie was one of the HUGE movies on VHS when videotapes first started. Everyone could recite the lines. It was a different world back then.

The ps2 game of this was so damn cool so much fun cleon, swan, snow, cochise, ajax, fox, vermin, cowboy and rembrant r.i.p to our fallen brothers, the games story actually takes place before this movie so it gives you a real insight into each person and how the best gang in the world came to be.

Fox played Windows in John Carpenter's The Thing

23:30 None of the gang saw their guy get killed on the tracks. They don't know what happened to him. They just know that their leader got killed by Cyrus's guards and that Ajax got arrested in the park.

Every once in a while, there's a Warriors reunion at a comic con, and all the surviving actors will show up in their Warriors vests.

The first time I watched this movie, I was a kid in the early 80s. Now I'm a 50 year old man and still love this movie, and have seen it more times than I can remember.

James Remar is probably the most popular actor from this. He rules in pretty much everything he’s in. Including sex and the city.

The story was from a book that was inspired by an actual historical event. Ten thousand Greek mercenaries were hired by the Persian ruler. Before they were able to reach him he was killed and they were trapped deep in a hostile Persia. They had to fight their way out. It was called the msrch of the 10,000. It occurred in 401BC

This is a vastly underrated action film from my birth year 1979. I wished I'd been born a full decade before that year so I could appreciate it more. The Riffs are my favorite gang in the film because they were mysterious & cool.
