After trying lumpia at Quiapo Market in Manila, I knew I had to learn how to make it myself! 🇵🇭 This time, Chef Graciel, 2 time James Beard winner takes me shopping for ingredients and teaches me step-by-step how she makes her version of Filipino lumpia—from prepping and cooking the filling to rolling and frying them until crispy. Along the way I pick up some legit cooking techniques, get plenty of unsolicited commentary from my brother Kyle 😂, and finally sit down with everyone to see if our homemade lumpia was as good as I hoped. My Filipino food journey continues, and this was easily one of my favorite things I've learned to make in the Philippines so far!
