Sounds like we need to cover the story of Superman vs Kingdom Come Superman from JSA.

I like how darksied just shows up like did someone mention the anti-life equation. No, ok bye.

@kevinwilliams3599 2 years ago

DC needs to use this version of Darkseid and have him rarely show up. This is the first time in a long time that i felt that he was properly used.

I love how Darkseid was written here. It's been a minute since he's felt like a genuine cold threat by presence alone, rather than being an angry brawler. Just added in Michael Ironside's voice in my head, and I was good to go.

@HisDivineShado 2 years ago

They seemed a little harsh on David for literally preventing Darkseid from getting the anti-life equation...

@truexchaosx6099 2 years ago

When I was reading this, all i could hear when Darkseid spoke was his voice from that one movie "Had the Kryptonian or the Amazon taken that gamble, they would have lost. They do not have the strength of character to sacrifice everything to achieve success. But you, a human? You kill your own kind to win wars. an admirable quality."

I feel like Darkseid and Superman's entire relationship can be boiled down to "Oh, you thought the last time we fought was me at full power? Fool, I was holding back the entire time. Now you face me at my full strength." Just that quote, rephrased to fit each character on repeat forever.

I love how Darkseid it just standing there, with his hands behind his back

I have a feeling that if Cyborg and Blackbolt were both weakened and hanging off a cliff, and Rob could save just one, he would walk away. 🤣🤣🍻

Is no one gonna mention the panel of Darkseid stepping on Superman like he’s an insect? 😂😂😂

@stevehagen9804 2 years ago

Pragmatically, burning one bad guy to make sure Mr. Darkseid can’t get a big piece of the anti-life equation seems like a fair trade.

@HadesHatredEdge 2 years ago

Who is writing Darkseid? His lines are amazing! "For war is a cold game. Colder yet...is the GRAVE." How can you even hate this man.

@vincentshadetree 2 years ago

26:43 Darkseid shows up, casually rips through some of the greatest heroes, then leaves the bar like the Chad he is lol

@hulkbelowall9532 2 years ago

"War is a cold game
Colder yet, is the grave"

This line by Darkseid is DEVIOUS

Superman: I live in a world Cardboard, having to always hold back

Darkseid: I live in Galaxy of Cardboard, boy.

I think killing Gog was the only way to keep Darksyde from getting the anti-life equation. The other superheroes berating the guy forget their free will would have been taken otherwise. No future to say "I told you so".

@adrianneosa1490 2 years ago

Idk. David saved a lot of loves by ending Gog. And, let's be real. Joker needed to be dealt with. It isn't entirely on David that Joker was able to commit to multiple crimes he did. Like, they never tried to imprison him on Jipiter or something? Phantom Zone? Shrink him down and leave him in a model world in the fortress of solitude where he can't escape? Nothing? Joker is a whole threat to the DC world.

@haylongwang3002 2 years ago

You got it wrong, Kingdom come superman was MORE powerful then the canon Superman due to being older and having been in the sun longer. This was established multiple times during comics.

@Chad0023 2 years ago

Love it when creators write Lord Darkseid like the god that he actually is 😂

@enocescalona 2 years ago

"you mistake anger for significance."
That....that was based. Genuinely and twistedly, something mature to say, lmao. It is kind of dad advice, "getting angry won't make things better."
