gabriella's line about not being a woman is really interesting when you consider that, in the books, she's an extremely gender-nonconforming character. the second she's turned into a vampire she kills a man and takes his clothes and chops her hair off. the next night when it grows back she's so distraught that she doesn't stop screaming. even in the modern day she solely wears masculine clothes and has her hair in a braid down her back. i'd go as far as to say that she's at least implied to be transmasculine.

given all of that i was really surprised when she was so feminine this season, even keeping the detail of her cutting her hair but into a sleek bob instead of a masculine cut. but there's still a lot of moments of her reckoning with her femininity and her role as a wife and mother that she's convinced she escaped from (which i feel like she's obviously still trying to run from, thus her escalation of her and lestat's relationship into explicitly sexual territory). i kind of hope that next season, now that lestat might be taking actual steps to turn away from her and heal, she realizes that her obsession with him is partially gender envy and maybe takes steps to the gender-nonconformity she had in the books.

also, it's funny to watch show-only fans react to devil's minion lmao

We eat your soul at the long table…

I have read the books and I believe show Daniel has very complicated feelings for show Armand. We really need to see Daniel's transformation next season. Sure Dan, you have no trauma lol
I cannot say Reddit the same way anymore, its always Redeeeet lmao Absolutely love T.C., she's awesome! I think EP6 was the best this season ❤ and AMC+ has got to give them more $$, we need more episodes, it's ridiculous.

Lestat did not change the whole band. He only changed TC.

Lestat, splendid on the red carpet. Is that a Versace suit?

TOP notch editing, as usual! Love your content!

19:56 Armand didn’t lie. During one of his few truly vulnerable moments in the show in 2x4, he did say that Marius’ studio was set aflame. I haven’t read Armand’s book, but I have heard ppl who have read it say that Armand truly thought that his maker was dead.

This is the greatest example I've ever seen where the books are NOT better than the movie (series. Anyways). This coming from someone who read the books multiple times as a teenager and was in love with the characters; the original source was never as multifaceted, never had this many levels. Everything in this show - the characterization, the inner reasons, the complicated and very human feelings, the way they've tied in the story - is SO much better than the books. I feel like it's redeemed the source material, like it elevated it.

In the books Armand and Daniel, lost most of of the others, have a “complicated” relationship but there is mutual love.

Great reviews!! I loved this season, and your analysis on Gabriella was on point! Some ppl didn’t get it but you did, and I love that! I also loved the finale! Gabriella just needs to die next season!

For me, Episode 6 was one of the best episodes of the entire series!! I love Loustat and hope we get more of them next season. They are the shows bread and butter!!

I haven’t read the books and didn’t have any issues following the show. I just sat back and took it for what it is. I had a very “sit back and let the tale seduce you” time this season. 😂

Ten points less for you not calling Regina "Fraudia".

Consequences for girlies that think they can get money for participating in scamming and still call themselves victims. And not expect any consequences for messing with powerful monsters. Its called accountability. She's lucky she got out alive. She could've said no, you guys.

IF THE QUEEN AKASHA DIED DOES THAT MEAN ALL THE OTHER VAMPIRE'S DIE AS WELL

I’m really disappointed. Why couldn’t they just follow the books? All this series is doing is stealing the characters. Not much resemblance to the books I read. Doesn’t Christopher have any input? I’m not watching these any more. I was really looking forward to Queen of the Damned but they’ll trash it too!

Woooahhhh…. Calm it girl.

Without “Thomas Pitt”’… there wouldn’t be the masterpiece your currently critiquing.

Yes… they are men.. flawed men.. actors.

I was with you for the last 2 hours between these vids….

Please don’t divide your audience by being sexist… it was 1994 and a totally different time…. And they are both well into their 60s if your saying what I think tour trying to.

Cmon girl.. we are all queens here. Don’t bring the normie mindset into your great vids.

Louis had nothing to apologize for. Louis always apologizes to his abusers and they never apologize to him. The treatment of Louis this whole season was f*cked up. And this racist lines “nappy headed” “Louisiana fried chicken” no.
