doing the lord's work but season 3 only adding 10 minutes of armand and daniel in 7 hours worth of episodes has me clawing at my walls a bit

I know the fandom's on fire right now, but I have to say I absolutely love the energy DM shippers bring to the table. Everyone's out there discussing whether or not the characters did something problematic and if that means still liking them makes you problematic too, meanwhile DM enjoyers are just like "These are my pookies, ancient sociopath mcmurderboy and boomer drug addict grandpa. If you ignore all the crimes against humanity they've committed, they're basically perfect angels, and if you squint real hard to avoid all the stalking and abuse, they're basically the healthiest couple in existence! I love them more than my children and grandchildren combined!"

Did I mention I love the crack-style editing? Been so long since I've indulged in one

no babyyyy, the armand = alice theory is alive and well, the show has already established that the vampires can and HAVE basically editted memories together. remember how daniel was made to believe his conversation with the burnt up louis happened with some random dude at a bar who supposedly set himself on fire after giving him advice but it ended up being louis all along? the memory was altered to erase his identity from daniel's memory but keep his impact in it.
who's to say armand didn't do the exact same thing with himself and alice? he still could have shown up in daniel's life as himself again, they could have gotten closer ("feeling more free to hold 'her' hand in paris") only to eventually 'edit' those memories they made and make daniel believe he had made them with alice instead.
so yeah, alice IS her own person too but maybe parts of what daniel remembers of her is armand memories projected onto alice's part in his life.

there's no way armand just watched. he definitely showed up as soon as he got too fascinated to stay away, shared some experiences with young daniel and then made him forget, made him believe it was alice he had those experiences with; it makes sense, because armand wouldn''t have been able to stay away but he was fine with sharing a fleeting time with daniel before letting him go (because he potentially thought alice was more suitable for him, because he was scared of being rejected again, because he didn't want to turn daniel and see him end up like nicolas had for lestat, because it would be safer for daniel to forget so louis would never find out about them either.)

30:00
the way the two men following at armand's heels walk away as soon as he gestures (implying they're part of his new cult)-
dude really sensed daniel and immediately shooed off his minions to make himself available/accessible and give daniel an opportunity to speak alone if he wished- even if the whole 'everyone disappears' thing hadn't happened, daniel was being invited in (no pun intended).

Eric and Assad really need to see this they would LOVE ITTTT

I always found the bit before Armand reveals himself where he removes his contacts to be so funny. Like bloop bloop, blink blink, time to float!!

33:08 THE KAHOOT I'M FCKING HOWLING

Its august 5 2025 and I dont plan on rewatching this but here we go again. HAPPY 1ST ANNIVERSARY TO ARMANDS CONFESSION

Personally, I believe Alice exists. However, I think some of his memories has gotten mixed up with his memories of Armand. Both memories where he proposed in Paris, and the mention of her blonde eyebrow (possibly referencing Armand's eyes), could've been memories associated with Armand instead. If the proposal in Paris wasn't Armand and it was Alice, then I think that scene of the classic Armand Alice quote is another instance of Armand continuing to protect Daniel's state of mind and care for him, as he did in his 52 years of stalking

Wifey and I have a theory that the little tremble in Armand's voice at 30:18 is partially for the first physical contact they've had in two years (♡) and partially because this is both of them learning that it's mutual. Armand, holed up doing cult shit again, just occasionally loses the whole world except Danny. Having gone completely insane friggin centuries ago, he has just accepted this new layer of madness as a him problem (tm).
Something something, they aren't healthy by any means but they're finally not alone, something something...

I’m crying the editing when Armand says “it was love” THATS HOW WE ALL FELT FR FR I love this

Honestly... When armand starting listing the most stalker observations ACCROSS 52 Years... I remember having to pause and just ask "is he saying he loves him..." and then I saw the Fandom lose it's mind (I haven't read the books)

"Japanime eyes" is my favorite part.

For me, it's that scene where Louis makes Daniel admit that Alice said "no" when he proposed.  Armand immediately pipes up and says, "she wanted to say 'yes', but she didn't trust you. You didn't give her a reason to."

How da fuq does Armand know what Alice was thinkin'?  I'm guessing that's a memory Armand *altered*,  Daniel probably asked Armand to turn him, and Armand said no.

I love the "Hey dad!" Scene. Just something about an old man calling a young man "dad" in your typical son dad reunion scene

I hate that tv seasons take so long to make. I always hope the wait is 1 year but its always 2 😭Thanks for this video tho it's definitely something I'll come back to and rewatch before season 4 premiers.

god they’re so perfect for each other. i love them so deeply

The one thing above all that convinces me Armand and Alice are intertwined is Daniel's change in emotion in the second Paris/Alice interaction with Louis. The proposal vs the "yeah". How upset Daniel gets, defending his behaviour as opposed to his self depreciation before. How distinctly affected he is "she said no" it HURTS him. Both interactions are probably related to Armand but Daniel and Armand in that second scene...there's no doubt in my mind that in some way, Armand is Alice.
Daniel's line "the ring...that's good" like he's saying it WASN'T a ring? It's Armand, no question. I can't wait until they show us what really happened

27:27 I bet Armand did pay the tab, because he wants Daniel to be able to keep going bowling.
