The crazy thing is, they actually extended it's theatrical run longer than orignally planned. It was that much of a surprise hit!
Also, kinda funny one of the biggest indie hits of the year is starring someone named Inde lol

Inde Navarrette completely stole the show as Nikki. She went from streaming Call of Duty to dominating Hollywood as the newest Scream Queen.

The answer to the trivia question in the “trivia night”bar scene was “Aladdin”, keeping with the “regretful wish” theme of the movie.

Obsession is a metaphor for the modern-day male/nice guy. It is very well executed by Dir. Barker. A solid 8.5/10. Bear is definitely the villain in this very good horror film. Great reaction! 👍🏿

Evil Dead is another super popular low-budget horror franchise (1981, 1987, 1992), certainly a worthy watch!

Let me process this right, So this douchebag has no parents either (dead or left), no grandma, living in a house that's not even his, frendzoned not only Sarah & Nikki, but himself. Then wished Nikki to force love into him & takes advantage of her free will then act shock and clueless when his wants doesn't apply to his needs, got his group of friends (Sarah and Ian) killed, then off himself not to save her but to escape accountability.

Yeah, bear is the absolute devil and I'm so happy he's dead. I know I'm gonna sleep well at night.

He wished for Nikki to love him more than anyone else in the world. Thus includes Nikki and to love just him over anyone anything everything, which pushes this movie to an 11.
