The SmallRig Carbon Fiber Video Monopod 5565 Features Review

Nicole Bedard Photo + Video

It finally arrived and I'm highlighting all the features of the SmallRig Carbon Fiber Video Monopod 5565. I paid for this monopod and believe this will be a great solution for my fast moving clients, like makers, artists and designers. I can get lower than a traditional tripod and quickly get into the angle and perspective that I need. This monopod is build like a tank and I'm very impressed in the quality.

Here is a link to the monopod for your research: (affiliate link)

Finally, someone made a video of this tripod. You are the only one who made this video on YouTube. Thank you. The material looks really good.

You actually don't need to hold the foot pedal down, it's a toggle. Click it once to be able to tilt, click it again to lock it in upright position.

it looks modern, well build, I wished you talked more about it, how does it feel to handle it, how easy is it to use, maybe add a camera on top for people who are considering buying her/his first monopod.

I just ordered this monopod from B&H. It's coming tomorrow. I'm hype. I needed to update my monopod for a while.

Now I am kind of upset that I got the Ifootage Monopod. This has all the features, missing on the Kobra.

Is there a leveler ? To see if the camera is flat? Also is it wobbly or cause jitters when still filming?

can you hold the whole thing by the lift&lock handle on the side? like a hand rig

Great video. Can you buy extra "tripod screw plate" since its a proprietory quick release? In case that plate goes missing.

was hoping for a more in the field experience for this one. Can't find any videos/info on this monopod. I bit the bullet and ordered it from amazon. Says 1/30-2/15 delivery though.... I am worried about size and how fluid the motion will be for video while also staying in place well enough to the ground. Went back and forth between this and the Ulanzi F38 video travel tripod. I think in the end, this will be my quick run and gun when not worried about stability and a tripod for everything else.
