The audacity and underhandedness of arguing the murder weapon was consistent with a new case, when they knew darn well it was a gun, but that being the only real tie, is ridiculous. They are pushing past "just doing their job" lawyering. Defense is giving lawyers a bad name.

Creighton did what I do -- you can't keep from rolling your eyes, so you close them to be more polite. LOL

I was rolling my eyes at Jim lawyersplaining the law TO THE JUDGE.

You know it's going to be a long and wild trial when the defense right out of the gate tries to ambush the state with rumors they've heard on podcasts...
Oh dear. So calculated too. If they really thought it was true they would have called immediately. But they wanted their dramatic 'reveal' in front of the judge.

I like this judge. A little snarky at times (justifiably, ftom what I've seen) and with a sense of humor, feeling like a human instead of a machine; but also not putting up with lawyers giving her nonsense, playing games, and generally getting into shenanigans.
