I think all states should have transcripts available to the jury. Testimony is evidence and expecting them to remember after 8 weeks all the important witnesses is bananas. I know they got to take notes but they should also have a transcript. We as a community had to replay testimony sometimes multiple times and had to go back when we forgot what someone had said.

I was shocked how many people thought we'd have an immediate verdict. Working your way through the verdict slip and making sense of all the "if this, then this" as a whole, not to mention going through all the evidence, and FINALLY getting to talk about it - much less argue any points - after all this time?!?
Honestly I'll be impressed if we get the verdict this week!

It mostly killed me last year when they kept coming back to say they couldn't agree... I'm hoping they at least agree this year.

Thank you Jordan for the editing you do! I enjoy the case briefs . Sometimes I can't watch full court or I don't want to hear or see certain evidence. The briefs are great to keep me informed with our having to engage in the harder parts of cases.

EDB what a profound point about jurors not having the same luxury as the public in being able to “rewind” to verify what they may or may not have heard clearly.
