RIP Gary Brooker🙏

His voice still sounded incredible at that age, sadly we lost him a few years later. Gary Brooker was a talent.

When music and magic collide. This was amazing. Much like Moody Blues with Nights in White Satin, Pink Floyd with Comfortably Numb, ELO with Telephone Line. All LIVE. Celtic Woman and You Raise Me up is true magic too. And beauty.

I love it when one of the original artists, as a much, much older version of himself, takes one of the old classic rock & roll songs I grew up with in the 1960's and 70's and rearranges it for a full classical orchestra and live choir! So beautiful. There have been several who have done this (like Moody Blues, the Scorpions, Yes, original prog Genesis, Marmalade, to name a few), and I wish many more would make the leap!

What a great updating and revisiting of a 1960's classic. It's hard to believe that this performance is now twenty years old.

I first experienced this beautiful song in 1967 when I was in High School, many years have passed and it's still magical.

Even today, lovers still slow dance to this song in nightclubs all over the world 🌺

This might be my favourite version of any 60’s song. It’s just so beautiful and I would have loved to have been there. Glad you enjoyed it.

This is from 1967, and lead singer, Gary Brooker, only one left from the original group, Procul Harem. I was 12 when this came out, and it was an immediate hit all round the world. Ringo Starr said it summed up the sixties. Aega song.

I was never too crazy about the original version, which did not have an orchestra or choir. but I love this version and his voice sounds even better.

We just lost Mr Booker a couple years ago he never lost his voice he was just as good later in life as he was a young man. He was like a fiddle or a fine wine he just got better with age.

This song always touches the soul, in my opinion. Watching your reactions to this is truly a wonderful experience. The emotions that cross your beautiful visage reflect my own feelings of this amazing music.

Everything about this is beautiful. The song, the performance, the setting, and the reactor.

This combination of the singer and his band with an orchestra and choir is a masterpiece even for its time. If this rendition doesnt stir your soul, you may not be blessed with one. Having grown up in the 60's, 70's and 80's and this is one of the top performances ever... Its one of the Big 10 songs of the era n my opinion. Right there with songs like Stairway to Heaven, Nights in White Satin, Hotel California, Imagine, Bohemian Rapsody, etc....
