This happens every decade it’s not that clever it’s just hipsters rebranded

This gender war dating stuff is exhausting.
Good thing I’ve been married for 10 years lmao

Welcome to your young adult "hipster cringe" era people

It sucks for people like me who actually enjoy these things 😭😭

Plot twist: the real performative men are actually the ones making video essays on performative men

i wish people never thought this about me. My friends actually call me a performantive male because i listen to softer music and drink too much matcha.

„70s rock ‘n’ roll”
The first shirt shown is Nirvana*

"Being yourself is more than enough."
Oh you sweet summer child.

We’re all performative to a degree, but there are definitely guys out there acting out to hard lol

Performative men are just baby Neil Gaimans.

Dude you're extremely underrated because this content is amazing, keep up the work man

it's a shame clairo caught strays, she has been an indie darling for a while, unironically like her music lmao

watched this vid while listening to laufey, wearing a tote bag, using wired earphones, labubu keychain on my waist, and eating dubai chocolate and matcha flavoured acai

When you're still young hop on all the trends you like but it really is exhausting to be something you're not.

As one YouTuber put it (basically), we're all performative when out in public. I'd add that, when out in public, none of have any choice but to be performative, at least to some extent, so who are we to judge? The specific style of these "performative men" in this context is very much not my personal style, but, seriously, who exactly is it with the competent authority to infallibly define whether or not we are being performative when out in public, and exactly when it allegedly goes too far?

Thus, fully expecting to be called performative, and laughing at the judgmental, self-righteous moral snobs clutching their pearls who may do so, I genuinely do describe myself as a Pomp and Circumstance March sort of person, and with the intention to wear a suit with a vest, high starched collar, and bowler hat.

these videos constantly make my day, don’t stop making quality content ever!

I had matcha latte todayyyyyy people needto stop ruining things omfg the hipsters were always right 😂 gatekeeping is righteous and good lol
