When a flash game series has a better story than triple A titles.....

i love that scene in the beginning where they see John's car and Diane says "check out that jacked up car"

"he's crazy"

"crazy but alive"

I remember how they profile John and called him a nobody, yet he was able to kill lots of military people, outsmart an attack helicopter, and dodge bombing runs... god damn this game makes me want to buy the car he is using.

The story Is so horrifying and scary when you really think about it.

One of the hardest and most detailed zombie outbreak stories I've seen

So in the course of a week all hell breaks loose. How ironic that one team would kickstart an outbreak.

Man, it's upsetting that we will likely never get an ending to the Creaseman's or Diane/ Cocheta. I really hope that Evildog will one day revisit this series because for as simple as the gameplay is, it's some of the best gameplay out there.

Even if the zombies are mutated or have radiation resistance or whatever, the nuke should’ve vaporized most of them because well ITS A NUKE

Regarding the disappointing performance of the military:
> most of the military is not really trained to fight a zombie outbreak.
>(edit in response to comments) the effectiveness of existing containment plans and units would be negatively affected by the speed and scale of the spread. Their initial containment plans failed. It's even harder to organize forces when cities throughout the country already have zombies.
> explosive ordnance(mortar, artillery, bombs) are ineffective at killing zombies. They can lose limbs and suffer damage on most of their vitals, but they won't die. Though zombie mobility would be reduced.
> In this case, troops, small arms and transports with supplies would be more helpful in systematically eliminating zombies. Retaking area by area, scouring the area with multiple lines, defending and monitoring secured zones, etc.

Regarding the research:
> Alpha team is dumb. The research facility is not secure, not sealed and not clean. The people there are not trained and lacks discipline. There's also a lack of scientists. It's stupid that the soldiers don't respect the resesrchers regarding dangerous diseases.

Regarding nukes:
> it could've vaporized zombies within a certain radius, depending on the bomb.
> (edit) radiation would've killed the virus/zombies in a few minutes or days depending on exposure... or the viru it would survive and mutate, though this takes time(inspired mostly from hollywood shit and Chernobyl wildlife)
>Nuking an area is not worth it unless it's a worthless and utterly dangerous location densely populated by mutated zombies... though conventional bombing could still do the job without irradiating an area.
>Firebombing/firestorms zombies would've been more effective.

Additional:
>Performance of police, firefighters, and other paramilitary groups should be considered. Using rough US statistics, there is 1 police officer/400+ civilians and 1 firefighter/300+ civilians. Outnumbered. If the government wasnt focused on a cover up and information was disseminated effectively, maybe the situation could have improved. Initial response by paramilitary could've been on time and more effective. Who am I kidding? Irl, many bureaucrats and politicians don't know what gov departments and agencies are up to.

Kinda crazy that diane is also helping the troops on the highway while making her escape in the humvee

John: This if fine
Soldiers: AHHHHH

There is couple of retcons in the timeline. Rotd1 begins with John not knowing anything about the outbreak but he somehow has the high security broadcast radio stolen in day 7 which the city already went fubar by that time, and Lab of the dead starts at day 4 and John's brother reports that at day 10 Evans city was nuked which means it took Cocheta, Diane and John 3 days to exit the city before it got nuked which in the games it seems it only took them a couple of hours. Hopefully the timeline gets fixed if there is a future installment. So far everyone seems to be going to cross paths at the town of Alliance.

I thought the game was dead , nice to see it still alive.

Mitch only had one job, and is to Hold the fucking door 😒

"they expect the zombies to drop dead as if they were fighting Germans or Vietnamese people... although SOME of them ARE probably German or Vietnamese"

Mitch didn't hold the damm door that's the whole story

When 008 happens in an universe without the SCP Foundation

The lab of the dead kinda reminds me of that movie called," Day of the Dead". Think about it, the scientists in that movie were trying to do the same thing as that scientist did in the lab, researching the undead and experimenting them.

8:45 - "I'm not stopping, YOU HEAR ME?! I'M NOT STOPPING!!"

Me: I felt that.

Somehow this game’s storyline is better than any zombie movies/games I’ve ever watched/played
