Road of the Dead is an incredibly stressful speedrun that only kinda eroded my sanity...

Watch the world record run here: Road Of The Dead World Record (Flash Game)...

My channel generally focuses on a more casual side of speedruns. With these videos I want to show off cool speedruns, explain how they work, and entertain. Hopefully you enjoy the content and maybe even take up speedrunning yourself, because it is truly a lot of fun!

This was the gold standard for flash games. Great story, intense gameplay, and you just feel like the coolest dude in the world. You'll never feel more powerful than when you, a guy in a car, take out a chopper without firing a shot.

God, I can’t take this driving UI seriously without thinking about that stupid Driving In My Car fangame where Asgore hits Dess with his truck

i can't help but think of some funny dialogue you overhear between a soldier and an officer:
"The target is in sight. Orders?"
"What do you think? KILL HIM!"

also, there's a sequel, with lots more mechanics, like picking up people and dropping them off later for extra money, and stopping to collect more ammo.

I love the irony that this game suggests the military would rather send choppers and jets after one guy driving down the highway rather than put them to use against the actual zombies lol

Hello! Im one of the mods for the speedrun page for RoTD, so I was very happy to see this video in my feed (I'm commenting again, for my other comment seems to be gone?)
If you (or anyone reading) is interested on running this game, you can submit your runs there! We may take a while as we are only two people, but we'd love to see more people running the game (To paint you the general picture, we maybe got 40 runs total in the span of 5 years)

Driving in my car, right after an outbreak, hey that bunp is shaped like the dead, DIU? I think that guy died...

The voice acting in the RotD series, especially it being flash game, was impressively done

Tried playing this game on my school Chromebook last year. It lagged so bad, the last section that is supposed to have a timer of 2 minutes lasted about 10-15 minutes. It's crazy to see Speezy getting through the whole game in nearly the same time as me getting through the last section...

Your content shines the most when you do vids about old flash games

Im excited for this one!
Also,I think the main reason they failed to wipe out the zombies was because they were more worried about one singular person escaping

Man, I absolutely LOVE this game, such an underrated gem of a flash game. Here's hoping you run the sequel someday.

I love how this guy just randomly speedruns games I enjoyed when I was younger, always unexpected but never unappreciated

john, a mechanic who managed to survive a zombie apocalypse in his city, piss off and put completely on shame the military forces in the city, defeat military choppers, escape from the quarantine area and escape from a NUKE
now that's a true badass
