It is WILD how accurate Chuck was about what Jimmy did, but his refusal to see how hard he’s been on him + sabotaging of his career every step of the way contributed to that humiliation of his.
0:55 this shows the nature of Chuck’s craziness. It sounds reasonable because he’s saying you have to ground yourself because of his so called electricity allergy, but in reality he just won’t feel safe letting you into his house unless you first touch the metal thing he built outside his door.
I like this show because it sets everything up in such a way that nobody could reasonably have done anything else.
Chuck was entirely right about Jimmy, and it's reasonable for him to distrust and oppose his brother after he saw him steal from their parents and contribute to their business failing.
If Kim had listened to Chuck she would have saved her integrity and career, and she wouldn't have wound up with the guilt of Howard's death. But how could she listen to Chuck when Jimmy was doing so much of this for her, and Chuck was trying to poach her business?
It's very well written. You can't really say any of them acted dumb or unreasonable.
And although it's remarkably ironic - Chuck was right about all of it. He WAS sabotaged by Jimmy. Jimmy did destroy the careers of numerous people, Hamlin's law firm was destroyed, Howard was killed, Kim had to start a whole new life, Chuck would die and Jimmy would be in prison forever.
